    • A thermoluminescence dosimeter element including an adhesive coating formed in a predetermined thickness on a base tape, and particles of thermoluminescent material sprayed onto the surface of the adhesive coating. Such thermoluminescence dosimeter element is produced by a method including a first step of spreading into an adhesive coating of a small thickness an adhesive agent applied in drops to the surface of a base tape, a second step of spraying particles of thermoluminescent material onto the surface of the adhesive coating through one of openings formed in a masking tape operatively brought into contact with the base tape, and a third step of drying the adhesive coating to ensure that the particles of the thermoluminescent material firmly adhere to the base plate. The method enables thermoluminescence dosimeter elements of high sensitivity and reliable performance to be produced continuously on a mass production basis.

    • An automatic thermo-luminescence desimeter, comprising a thermo-luminescence dosimeter element which is composed of a card carrying a thermo-luminescence material and contained in an encasing member; a magazine adapted to accommodate therein a plurality of the thermo-luminescence dosimeter elements; means for transporting the magazine; card feeding means for extracting a thermo-luminescence dosimeter element from the magazine and feeding the element into a longitudinal groove formed in a housing; releasing means for releasing engagement between the card and the encasing member; means for feeding the card into a transversal groove formed in the housing; heating means for heating the thermo-luminescence material carried by the card fed to the transversal groove by irradiating with infrared rays; and photoelectric converter means for converting thermo-luminescence emitted by the thermo-luminescence material into an electric signal, whereby doses of exposed radiation of the individual theremo-luminescence dosimeter elements are successively measured within a short time.

    • Disclosed is a tape cassette having a front cover urged in the direction for covering, by pivoting, a tape stretched along the front surface of a cassette case, and a cover-locking piece adapted to pivot within a plane thicknesswise of the tape cassette while being urged in the direction for holding the pivoting of the front cover when it is not in use. The tape cassette is further provided with an optical path aperture formed in a side surface portion thereof in order to form an optical path through the tape stretched inside the tape cassette when it is in use. The tape cassette is improved in its assembling efficiency while preventing disengagement of urging springs thereof in assembly. Moreover, it is possible to obtain satisfactory functions of the front cover and the cover-locking piece while preventing foreign matter such as dust from entering the inside of the tape cassette by covering the optical path aperture when the tape cassette is not in use. Furthermore, the tape cassette can be made microminiature by permitting the required widthwise dimension thereof to be extremely small.
