    • The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer-implemented methods for allowing independent adjustment for different areas of a payment instrument image. An example method includes updating an image property of an area of a clearing payment instrument image associated with a tangible payment instrument including a payee, a payor, an amount, and an authorization, the tangible payment instrument to be submitted for electronic transaction clearing, wherein the clearing payment instrument image is associated with a first value of the image property, the image property of the area is updated to a second value different than the first value of the image property, and the area of the clearing payment instrument image includes less than the entire clearing payment image; and storing the updated clearing payment instrument image in response to updating the image property.

    • Featured is a particulate and pressure redirection barrier for an electrical breaker as well as a breaker embodying such a barrier. Such a barrier includes first through fifth segments, where the first segment includes a first and second side section and a bottom section that are coupled to each other so as to form a generally U shaped structure. The second segment is coupled to the first side section so it extends outwardly at an angle from the first side section. The third segment is coupled to the second side section so as to extend outwardly and at an angle from the second side section. The fourth segment is coupled to the second segment so as to extend outwardly from and at an angle with respect to the second segment. The fifth segment is coupled to the third segment so as to extend outwardly from and at an angle with respect to the third segment. Such a configuration of the fourth and fifth segments is such that gas flowing along a surface of the second or third segments is redirected at an angle with respect to that surface.

    • Disclosed is an aircraft door including a handle-activated pressure relief system that avoids potentially dangerous pressure differences between the cabin and the atmosphere outside the aircraft. A flow path is created between the inboard and outboard handles on the door. A pressure vent door is located in the flow path. The vent door being is opened when either of the inboard and outboard handle assemblies are activated. Once either handle is rotated beyond a particular point, a spring in the supporting mechanics becomes over-center. At the same time, the vent door comes under the influence of a magnet, snapping the vent open. After the door has been opened, it can be relatched by operating the handles in the reverse direction. The magnet and spring hold the vent door open until the aircraft door is fully latched, sealed, and secured. Only then does the vent door sealingly close.
