    • The invention relates to an axial piston machine (1) comprising a housing (50), a drive shaft (3) mounted in a rotational manner in the housing (50) around a drive shaft axis (12), a cylinder drum (2) which is connected to the drive shaft (3) in a non-rotational manner and in which are embodied cylinders (4) for receiving axially movable pistons (6), and a control plate (26) with control openings (24, 25) designed to cyclically connect the cylinders (5) with a high-pressure and a low-pressure line. The invention provides for a pressing device with at least one centrifugal body (30a-30f), which is impinged upon by a centrifugal force (FF) that increases with the number of rotations per minute (n) of the cylinder drum (2). The invention also provides for a force deflection unit (36-39; 40a-40f, 41a-41f) designed to transform the centrifugal force (FF) acting on the centrifugal body (30a-30f) into a force acting against the cylinder drum (2), whereby said force has a component (FA) which is aligned towards the control plate (26) and in an axial position in relation to the drive shaft axis (12).

    • The invention relates to a control device for a hydraulic piston machine which can be embodied as a hydropump or a hydromotor and the time-averaged volume flow of which is variable. The piston machine comprises a plurality of pistons, each delimiting a working chamber the volume of which varies with the stroke of a piston and which can be connected to a high pressure port via a first valve and to a low pressure port via a second valve. At least one of the two valves of a working chamber can be actively electrically actuated. The control device comprises an electronic control unit which operates the actively actuated valves of the working chambers in a partial stroke mode, in which only a varying portion of the piston stroke is utilized. In order to reduce the control complexity, the actively actuated valves can be operated in not more than two different modes, namely either only in the partial stroke mode or in the partial stroke mode and an idle stroke mode or in the partial stroke mode and a complete stroke mode or all three modes can only be applied to a limited number of working chambers and only the idle stroke mode and the complete stroke mode to the remaining working chambers.
