摘要： The present invention provides an application material capable of forming a thin layer of high quality having controlled refractive index, a coating layer formed by using said application material, an antireflection coating using said coating layer, an antireflection film and image display to which said antireflection coating is applied. A coating layer formed from a coating composition comprising (1) rutile type titanium oxide coated with an inorganic compound decreasing or eliminating a photocatalyst activity and an organic compound and/or organometal compound having an anionic polar group, and having a primary particle size in the range from 0.01 to 0.1 μm, (2) a binder component having an ionizing radiation-curing property, (3) a dispersing agent having an anionic polar group, and (4) an organic solvent is suitable for forming a light transmission layer constituting a single-layer type or multi-layer type antireflection coating 17, partucularly, a middle refractive index layer 18, high refracive index layer 19 or hard coat layer 16 having high refractive index (FIG. 2).

摘要： A hardcoat for a plastic substrate film is provided which has good suitability for printing and satisfactory hardness, can prevent influence of the deformation of a plastic substrate film from extending to the hardcoat, and is resistant to cracking and peeling. The hardcoat is produced from a coating component containing one or more organic components having a polymerizable functional group and an inorganic filler, at least one of the organic components being free from a hydrogen bond-forming group. In the hard coat, the content of the inorganic filler in the surface of the hardcoat is higher than that in the interior of the hardcoat. The hardcoat can be applied to antireflection films and hologram labels.

The antireflective laminate comprises a light transparent base material and at least a low refractive index layer having a refractive index of not more than 1.45 provided on the light transparent base material, wherein the low refractive index layer comprises an ionizing radiation curing-type resin composition and silica fine particles having an outer shell layer with the interior of the silica fine particles being porous or void, and, for a part or all of the silica fine particles, at least a part of the surface of the silica fine particle has been treated with an ionizing radiation curing group-containing silane coupling agent.

The first antireflection film comprises a transparent base material film 1 and, provided on the transparent base material film in the following order, an antistatic hardcoat layer 2-1 comprising an antistatic agent selected from polymeric antistatic agents, crosslinking group-containing low-molecular antistatic agents, and electrically conductive antistatic agents and having hard properties, and a low-refractive index layer 3 having a lower refractive index than an underlying layer in direct contact with the low-refractive index layer. The occurrence of interference fringes can be prevented by bringing the absolute value of the difference in refractive index between the transparent base material film 1 and the antistatic hardcoat layer 2-1 to not more than 0.03.
