摘要： A system for injecting includes a cartridge body defining a proximal opening and a distal needle interface. The system also includes a plunger member defining a plunger interior and configured to be manually manipulated to insert a stopper member relative to the cartridge body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature disposed in the plunger interior, an energy-storage member disposed in the plunger interior, and an energy-storage member latching member disposed in the plunger interior. The system further includes a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the cartridge body. The needle assembly includes a needle having a needle proximal end feature, a hub, and a needle latching member configured to couple the needle to the hub. The needle is retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member to actuate the energy-storage member latching member.

摘要： A system for mixing drug products and injecting includes a syringe body, proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the syringe body, a plunger member, and a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the syringe body. The proximal and distal stopper members form a proximal drug chamber between there between and a distal drug chamber between the distal stopper member and a distal end of the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature, an energy-storage member, and an energy-storage member latching member all disposed in disposed in a plunger interior. First and second sizes of the respective proximal and distal drug chambers can be modified by movement of the proximal and distal stopper members relative to the syringe body. The needle is at least partially retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member relative to the syringe body.

When the front case is in a first position relative to rear case, the latch arms are engaged to the first rib. When the latch arms disengage the first rib, the front case translates to a second position relative to the rear case, an axial distance between the front case and the rear case increases relative to the first position, the latch arms engage the second rib.

摘要： A syringe assembly for fluid collection includes a housing having a sidewall defining a hollow bore therein, and an elongate plunger with the distal end of the plunger forming a chamber within the hollow bore for containing a fluid therein. The plunger is adapted for slideable movement within the hollow bore between an initial position and a retracted position. The assembly includes a hub disposed at least partially within the hollow bore and at least partially supporting a cannula therewith. The hub is adapted to automatically transition from an initial position in which at least a portion of the cannula is disposed external to the housing, to a retracted position in which the cannula is fully shielded by the housing, upon transition of the elongate plunger from the initial position to the retracted position.

摘要： A mixing device and a retractable syringe comprising same are provided. The mixing device comprises concentric outer and inner barrels that form an outer chamber, the inner barrel having an inner chamber. A mixing plunger is slidably located in the outer chamber. A seal located in the outer chamber is capable of axial movement, in response to depression of the mixing plunger, from a first position in sealing engagement with one or more apertures in the inner barrel to a second position intermediate the apertures and vents in the outer barrel. This allows depression of the mixing plunger to force a first substance from the outer chamber through the apertures to mix with a second substance in the inner chamber. The mixed substance in the inner barrel is then delivered by the syringe with subsequent needle retraction.

摘要： A plunger, a needle assembly and a retractable syringe comprising same are provided. The plunger comprises a plunger member and a plunger outer having a lock spring that prevents or impedes movement of the plunger member after needle retraction. The plunger further comprises another locking member for engaging the barrel to prevent or impede further movement of the plunger outer after delivery of fluid contents. The plunger member has a plunger seal which engages a retractable needle of the needle assembly for retraction. The retractable needle comprises a cannula and needle body with a plurality of fluid channels that co-operate with a fluid conduit of the plunger seal to efficiently direct fluid to the cannula. A needle retainer comprises a plurality of barbed arms releasably coupled to the needle body, whereby an ejector with tabs facilitates release of the retractable needle from the needle retainer to allow compressed spring-driven retraction.
