摘要： A separation method includes: conveying a separation subject comprising a group of pieces placed on a conveyor in one direction; detecting, by a detecting device, compositions of pieces in the group of pieces placed on the conveyor; generating, by a blower, airflow at an end portion of the conveyor in a conveying direction in which the conveyor conveys the separation subject, the airflow having a velocity matching or substantially matching a conveying speed of the conveyor; stabilizing the airflow by a current plate placed along a trajectory of the group of pieces; and by a jetting device, obtaining position information of a piece of a particular material detected, and jetting pulse air toward the piece of the particular material when the piece of the particular material, which is travelling through air from the conveyor and whose travel is assisted by the airflow, passes by the jetting device.

摘要： A series of solids size reduction systems utilizing variable displacement rotary dispersion and in-line grinder apparatus. The systems include in-feed, and receiving and mixing systems for blending solids with a carrier fluid. The systems include force feeding of the solids and carrier fluids to the grinding apparatus as well as separation and recover of the carrier fluids for recycling. The systems further include pre-shredding and metal removal apparatus. Systems are also disclosed which provide for recovery of ferrous and nonferrous metals, separation of hi/low density solids and further provides for the palletizing of separation solids. Systems and processes are disclosed for the reduction of whole tires or strips and chips to granulated rubber, the portable processing of raw sugar cane, and the processing of drill cuttings for injecting into a well head.

摘要： In an upward gas stream sifter for separating sheet-like pieces of paper and plastic in a wetted mixture, the gas is heated to at least 60.degree. C. in order to dry surface moisture on the plastic. The temperature of the gas is not so high that the plastic shrivels. This increases the difference in density between the pieces of plastic and wet paper, thus assisting the separation.Optionally some gas may enter the mixture feed duct through a gas permeable part of its wall, to prevent accumulation of mixture on the wall.If the mixture is derived from household rubbish and the plastic is mostly polyethylene the gas may enter the sifter at 120.degree. C. and leave it at about 70.degree. C.
