摘要： The described incandescent tension annealing processes involve thermally annealing twisted or coiled carbon nanotube (CNT) yarns at high-temperatures (1000° C. to 3000° C.) while these yarns are under tensile loads. These processes can be used for increasing yarn modulus and strength and for stabilizing both twisted and coiled CNT yarns with respect to unwanted irreversible untwist, thereby avoiding the need to tether torsional and tensile artificial muscles, and increasing the mechanical loads that can be moved by these muscles.

摘要： A method for producing an electric wire of a carbon nanotube twisted yarn is provided. The method includes obtaining a carbon nanotube twisted yarn by a dry spinning method, subjecting the carbon nanotube twisted yarn to a graphitization treatment, imparting an oxygen-containing functional group to the graphitized carbon nanotube twisted yarn, and imparting an electron-attracting group having a stronger electron-attracting property than the oxygen-containing functional group to the carbon nanotube twisted yarn to which the oxygen-containing functional group has been imparted. With such a configuration, an electric wire of a carbon nanotube twisted yarn having high conductivity can be produced.

摘要： A fabric belt on which, when used as intended in a machine for producing spunbonded fabric webs, such spunbonded fabric webs are formed and transported. The belt has longitudinal threads and transverse threads that bind with the longitudinal threads. The threads are formed substantially of a polymer material and some of the longitudinal and/or transverse threads include electrically conductive material. The longitudinal threads form, on the web material contact side, convex longitudinal thread offsets with a knuckle, and the transverse threads have first transverse threads which form, on the web material contact side, first transverse thread offsets with a knuckle. A height difference between the knuckle crowns of at least some of the convex longitudinal thread offsets and the knuckle crowns of at least some of the first convex transverse thread offsets on the web material contact side is less than 220 μm or even less than 150 μm.

A continuous CNT infusion process includes: (a) functionalizing a carbon fiber material; (b) disposing a barrier coating on the functionalized carbon fiber material (c) disposing a carbon nanotube (CNT)-forming catalyst on the functionalized carbon fiber material; and (d) synthesizing carbon nanotubes, thereby forming a carbon nanotube-infused carbon fiber material.
