摘要： A monitoring device arranged to be fitted to a door, wherein the door includes an operating bar mounted on the door for angular movement about its axis and a handle which is connected to the operating bar by a pivotal connection; wherein the device comprises a body element and a cover element arranged to slide relative to the body element and the two elements having a closed configuration and an open configuration in which the cover element is extended relative to the body element thereby allowing the device to be fitted to a door; the body and cover elements being shaped so that when in the closed configuration a pocket is formed that substantially surrounds an operating bar and further wherein the cover element comprises a portion extending over a region of a handle of a door to which the device is fitted such that that handle is prevented from rotating relative to the door; and monitoring circuitry arranged to monitor the device.

The cover includes a first housing with a first front wall, first side walls each having a front and rear edge, and a top end wall and define a first housing interior. A guide leg and a latch is disposed on the first housing. A second housing includes a second front wall, second side walls, and a bottom end wall that define a second housing interior. The second housing includes a guide socket configured to receive the guide leg and a catch configured to receive and retain the latch. The housing interiors define a cover interior that covers the hasp elements and an installed lock with one of the guide leg and the latch disposed behind the handle and the other of the guide leg and the latch disposed in front of the handle.

摘要： The present disclosure provides a hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having a first set of surfaces defining openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having a surface defining an opening through which a locking pin reversibly travels. The locking rod is mounted to the door of the freight container, where the locking rod includes a cam that can move between a first predetermined position where the cam can engage the cam keeper and a second predetermined position where the cam is disengaged from the cam keeper and can travel past the end frame of the freight container and the cam keeper as the door travels into the volume of the freight container.

摘要： A hasp seal lock assembly includes a base member that is attached via a hinge to a cover member. The cover member, when rotated such that the cover member engages the base member, is functionally adapted to overlay a latch and seal. The base member and the cover member each have a plurality of apertures defined in adjacent side walls that allow the horizontal latch arm to extend through the assembly. The base member and the cover member also include a second plurality of cooperating apertures whereby the base member and the cover member may be locked together by use of a padlock. In a first preferred embodiment, each cover side wall includes a tab and tab-receiving apertures are defined within the base member. The tabs require that the cover be lifted vertically prior to rotation of the cover member about the base member.

摘要： A lock assembly for a container having an opening defined by a door jamb, a cargo door adapted to close the opening, a rod linearly moveable to engage the door jamb, and a latch mountable to the rod. The assembly includes a casing having an inclined opening and mounted to the cargo door parallel the rod. The casing includes a protrusion changeable between an extended and a retracted position. A latch receiving means has an inclined opening adapted to align with the inclined opening of the casing for accepting the latch therein. The latch receiving means is responsive to movement of the latch within the casing between a locked and an unlocked condition and engages the locking means when the latch receiving means is in the locked condition. The rod is moved by the latch to engage and disengage the door jamb.

The locking assembly may include a first keeper secured to the door frame, a first locking cam configured to movably engage the first keeper, and a handle assembly coupled to the first locking cam. The handle assembly may be movable between a first position in which the handle assembly is in contact with the door frame and the first locking cam engages the first keeper to maintain the door in the closed position relative to the door frame and a second position in which the first locking cam disengages the first keeper to allow the door to open. The first and second positions of the handle assembly illustratively define an obtuse angle therebetween.

The field profile is monitored to detect a change in the profile, log the change, and report any abnormal disturbance to the electromagnetic field, indicating a breach of the integrity of a latching mechanism on a shipping container. An alert of a breach event may be sent via a communication network to an authority for response. The invention can distinguish authorized, incidental, and tampering events, and also store and upload an electronic manifest for a shipping container.
