摘要： A controller adjust a clutch actuator position is response to movement of a clutch pedal. During an engagement or a disengagement, the controller monitors sensor signals to determine the actuator position corresponding to the touch point. The sensors may directly indicate clutch torque or may respond indirectly. A Giant Magneto Resistive (GMR) sensor provides a precise shaft rotational position signal which can be twice numerically differentiated to yield an accurate and stable acceleration signal. The controller updates the touch point based on a change in the sensed acceleration or torque. The controller then adjusts the relationship of actuator pedal position to clutch pedal position, making mechanical wear adjustment unnecessary.

摘要： Disclosed is a motorcycle clutch actuator, with hydraulically linked foot clutch lever and hand clutch lever, to be installed on motorcycles made with a hand activated gear selection lever or on motorcycles to be converted from a conventional configuration of hand activated clutch and foot activated gear selection lever, to a configuration of foot activated clutch and hand activated gear selection lever, providing optimal clutch control with either a foot clutch lever or a hand clutch lever, by means of innovative hydraulic and mechanical control linkage, releasing the rider's foot from the foot clutch lever, while holding the clutch in the disengaged position with a hand clutch lever, as the motorcycle is running while in gear, thereby enabling the rider to balance the motorcycle with both feet while modulating the clutch with the hand clutch lever.

摘要： The invention relates to a clutch actuator for a manual-shift motor vehicle transmission, comprising a driver-operated clutch pedal or lever, a clutch linkage between a clutch of the motor vehicle and the pedal or lever, and a damper adapted to delay clutch engagement on a fast release of the clutch pedal or lever. According to the invention, the damper is effective to delay clutch engagement only within a limited range of a whole clutch engagement movement and is substantially ineffective outside the limited range and within the whole range of a clutch disengagement movement.

A spool valve has a valve body that is coupled at one end to the solenoid. A spool is slidably disposed in the control channel. A first and second dampener chambers are located at the two ends of the spool. The dampeners function to improve the stability in the control system and balance the transient flow forces of the hydraulic fluid as it moves through the valve member. The spool also has a control portion located between the first end and the second end of the spool. The control portion allows the control portion to communicate with a supply, control and exhaust passages in the valve body.

摘要： A hill holder device for a vehicle manual transmission includes a releasable one-way clutch which is coupled to the countershaft of the transmission. In particular, the one-way clutch includes a sprag clutch having an inner race secured to the countershaft, and an outer race secured to the vehicle transmission case by means of a releasable locking mechanism. When the locking mechanism is in its locked position, the sprag clutch enables rotation of the countershaft in only one direction. Thus, if the transmission is in a forward gear and comes to a stop on an ascending grade, the hill holder will lock the vehicle drive train and prevent the vehicle from rolling back down the grade, without requiring the driver to apply the brakes. Similarly, if the vehicle is in a reverse gear and is stopped on a descending grade, the hill holder will prevent the vehicle from rolling in a forward direction down the grade. If necessary, the locking mechanism can be unlocked to release the hill holder in order to facilitate shifting in the event torque lock of the vehicle drive train locks the gear shifting components after the hill holder has become engaged on an inclined surface.
