    • The invention relates to a device and to a method for controlling a coupling system having a coupling provided with a hydraulic actuation system, which includes an adjustable coupling part for connecting and separating a power transmission path between a coupling input side and a coupling output side, a hydraulic connection that connects the actuation unit to an electrohydraulic actuator that is arranged outside the coupling, and a control unit for controlling the actuator. The hydraulic connection forms a hydraulic system together with hydraulic components of the actuation unit and the actuator. According to the invention, a mechanical stop that delimits the adjustment of the coupling part on the actuation unit is formed. A pressure sensor monitors the pressure in the hydraulic system or a control signal of the actuator. The pressure sensor detects an installation of the coupling part on the stop based on occurring characteristic alterations of the pressure in the hydraulic connection or the control signal and controls the electrohydraulic actuator in accordance therewith and/or produces a diagnosis signal.

    • A method for controlling a drivetrain including an automatically shifted starting clutch and gear-shift clutch and a transmission, with a non self-locking clutch actuator, a gear actuator for engaging and disengaging transmission gears and a control unit which generates control commands for the clutch actuator and gear actuator and transmits such commands to the actuators such that, when the vehicle is at rest and a gear is engaged and if the clutch actuator fails, the clutch does not inadvertently engage. When a transmission gear is engaged, a control command is generated and sent for the clutch actuator to disengage the clutch. Thereafter, the vehicle speed is determined and if the speed is essentially zero and the clutch begins to engage, a control command is sent to the gear actuator to shift the transmission to its neutral position.

    • A method is provided for sensing leakage in a clutch cylinder system in a vehicle including an automated manual transmission, wherein the clutch cylinder system includes a clutch cylinder provided with a reciprocable piston, whose position is sensed by a position sensor and affected by pressurization of the cylinder by opening or closing at least one air inlet valve and by opening or closing at least one air outlet valve and wherein the clutch is in an engaged position when there is no air pressure in the cylinder. The method includes the steps of: a. closing the at least one inlet valve and at least one outlet valve for compressed air; b. sensing a position of the piston during a predetermined time span, and, c. if the position has changed more than a predetermined allowable position change, sending an error signal to an onboard diagnostics system or a signal light in the vehicle.
