    • A vehicle sun visor includes a support shaft; a sun visor body; an urging member that applies an urging force to the sun visor body; a damper that applies a damping force to rotational movement of the sun visor body when the sun visor body rotates to a stored position; and a damper operating portion that operates the damper. The damper operating portion includes a first operation element that rotates in conjunction with the sun visor body; a second operation element that converts rotational movement of the first operation element to linear movement; and a third operation element that is moved linearly via the second operation element. The damper is configured to be operated by linear movement of the third operation element in a prescribed range set between a use range and the stored position, when the sun visor body rotates to the stored position.

    • An apparatus is provided for vibration damping and isolation. The apparatus includes a housing having an inner surface defining a passage therethrough, a first bellows disposed within the housing passage, the first bellows having an outer surface and spaced apart from the housing inner surface to define a first chamber having a volume, and a second bellows disposed within the housing passage, the second bellows having an outer surface and spaced apart from the housing inner surface to define a second chamber having a volume. The apparatus further includes a restrictive flow passage in fluid communication with the first and second chambers, fluid disposed within the first chamber, the second chamber, and the restrictive flow passage, and a shaft positioned externally to the housing and coupled with the first bellows and the second bellows. The shaft is configured to selectively receive a force to thereby move the fluid through the restrictive flow passage to increase the first chamber volume and decrease the second chamber volume or to decrease the first chamber volume and increase the second chamber volume.

    • A control assembly for controlling rotation of a turnstile, includes a torque-restoring mechanism (13) with springs (20), a motion converting transmission with a multiplying gearing (56, 57) converting a rotation of the turnstile over 120° into a rotation of the rotary shaft entering the hydraulic damper (26) over 180°. The hydraulic damper (26) has two pistons mounted onto a single piston rod. A cam or crank mechanism converts rotation of the rotary shaft into reciprocating motion of the two pistons. The first piston damps the rotary movement of the turnstile when moving in one direction while the other piston damps this movement when the pistons move in the other direction, therefore damping the turnstile in both directions. A motion converting transmission in combination with a double-piston mechanism avoids any loss of hydraulic fluid, while achieving a gradually increasing damping force to effectively stop the rotation of the turnstile.

    • A mounting structure for a cam-type torque damper is provided to ease the assembling thereof, improve the maintenance properties thereof and prevent the variation in thrust direction restricting position due to loosening or the like. A collar is spline connected to an axial end of a crankshaft, and a primary gear, a lifter, a spring and a spring holder are fitted on the collar in that order. A cotter is fitted in a groove in the collar so as to restrict the spring holder with respect to the thrust direction position to thereby assemble the cam-type torque damper into a small assembly. The cam-type torque damper so made to be a small assembly is then fastened to the axial end of the crankshaft with a bolt. A concave cam is formed in a side of the primary gear, and a convex cam provided in an axial end portion of the lifter is brought into mesh engagement with the concave cam.
