摘要： Systems and methods for determining user equipment (UE) locations within a wireless network using reference signals of the wireless network are described. The disclosed systems and methods utilize a plurality of in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) samples generated from signals provided by receive channels associated with two or more antennas of the wireless system. Based on received reference signal parameters the reference signal within the signals from each receive channel among the receive channels is identified. Based on the identified reference signal from each receive channel, an angle of arrival between a baseline of the two or more antennas and incident energy from the UE to the two or more antennas is determined. That angle of arrival is then used to calculate the location of the UE. The angle of arrival may be a horizontal angle of arrival and/or a vertical angle of arrival

For example, the system can be used in conjunction with a cleaning device and can include a locating module, a display module, and a cleanliness monitoring system. The locating module determines a location of the cleaning device in an area and to track movement of the cleaning device within the area. The display module includes a graphical layout of the area. The cleanliness monitoring system generates data representative of a path that the cleaning device has traversed in the area and at least one aspect of cleaning behavior of the device in the area. The display module displays the data representative of the path and the data representative of the at least one aspect of cleaning behavior, and one or both of the path and the at least one aspect of cleaning behavior is color-coded on the display module.

摘要： A method and apparatus for ranging finding of signal transmitting devices is provided. The method of signal reception is digitally based only and does not require receivers that are analog measurement devices. Ranging can be achieved using a single pulse emitting device operating in range spaced relation with a minimum of a single signal transmitter and a single digital receiver and processing circuitry. In general a plurality of transmitting pulsed emitters may be ranged and positioned virtually simultaneously in 3-dimensions (XYZ coordinates) using a configuration of a plurality of digital receivers arranged in any fixed 3-dimensional configuration. Applications may involve at least one single transmitter to receiver design to determine range, or at least one transmitted reflecting signal off from an object to determine range.

Such system allows the definition of hybrid operations to accommodate the positioning reference signals (PRS) of LTE and already existing reference signals. As such, the system provides the advantage of allowing network operator(s) to dynamically choose between modes of operation depending on circumstances, such as network throughput and compatibility.

The vehicle includes a first peripheral device and a second peripheral device that is disposed at a location on the vehicle that is different than the first peripheral device. The peripheral devices are coupled to an antenna of the node. The device location determination also includes receiving from the device a first signal strength value associated with a first signal of the first peripheral device, a second signal strength value associated with a second signal of the second peripheral device, and a third signal strength value associated with a third signal transmitted by the node. The device location determination also includes determining a location of the device from the signal strength values and performing a remote function with respect to the vehicle.

摘要： A system includes a vehicle having an automatic radio-based vehicle safety unit and an access control device. An access element is assigned to the vehicle safety unit, where the vehicle safety unit has several low-frequency transmitting antennas, and the access element has a low-frequency receiver. By means of the access control device, the spatial position of the access element relative to the vehicle is detectable based on the principle of electromagnetic distance and angle measuring between the transmitting antennas and the receiver. The system further includes a vehicle-external induction charging unit having a primary coil, and the vehicle comprises a secondary coil for the inductive charging of the vehicle at the induction charging unit, where the induction charging unit has at least one low-frequency receiving antenna. The access control device is configured to can carry out a detection of the location position of the induction charging unit relative to the vehicle based on the principle of electromagnetic distance and angle measuring between at least two transmitting antennas of several low-frequency transmitting antennas and the at least one receiving antenna.
