    • An image processing system is formed of an image forming apparatus and a charge apparatus connected to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus comprises a communication unit, a memory unit for storing charge information to be stored in the charge apparatus when disconnected from the charge apparatus, and a control unit for controlling the charge information stored in the memory unit to be stored in the memory unit when connecting to the charge apparatus. The charge apparatus comprises a communication unit, a memory unit for storing the charge information received from the image forming apparatus, a judgment unit for judging as to whether the charge information stored in the memory unit is in a renewal waiting state; and a control unit for notifying a user where the judgment unit judges that the charge information stored in the memory unit is in the renewal waiting state.

    • A card-operated copying machine allows copying operation in response to insertion of one, at a time, of key checking cards for supervising copy counts for a plurality of sections. The card-operated copying machine includes (a) key checking cards assigned respectively to the sections, (b) a processor for issuing a signal capable of copying operation, the processor having a random-access memory for storing total copy counts respectively for the sections with flags indicative of permission and inhibition of copying operation, (c) a copy count display for reading the data stored in the random-access memory and displaying the total copy count for each section, and (d) an inhibition card recording thereon information for setting the flags to an inhibition state. The copying operation is permitted and inhibited in response to the flag conditions.

    • The present invention relates to a kind of inkjet printer's ink protection method including: the developer generates a rechargeable code in accordance with the print head's nPL, total ink volume G0 and user's identifying information provided by the user; the user purchases ink and its corresponding rechargeable code, inputs the rechargeable code into the printer's control system, and fills ink cartridge in the ink supply system with ink; the printer's control system verifies the effectiveness of the rechargeable code; if the rechargeable code is effective, total ink volume G0 will be added into the ink counter; if not, the rechargeable code is output as ineffective. This ink protection method in the present invention can increase ink utilization rate, reduce the waste of resources and cost, protect the environment, avoid equipment breakdowns caused by using unqualified ink, and improve printer's operating stability. What's more the present ink protection method utilizes printer's software and hardware technologies in prior art, needs no extra equipment, and thus has strong practicability and is cost effective.
