摘要： The device and methods described herein relate to a seeping flow catheter. The seeping flow catheter includes a porous material. The inner face of the porous material defines the lumen of the catheter. The porous material is configured such that fluid can flow along the length of the catheter, between the inner face and outer face of the porous material. As the fluid flows through the porous material, the fluid can seep into the lumen of the catheter through the inner face or out of the catheter through the outer face of the porous material. Portions of the inner or outer face can include a lining that substantial reduces the perfusion of the fluid through the lined areas.

摘要： Multi-lumen catheters with improved tip configurations, including a triple-lumen catheter which may be useful for apheresis. In one variation, the catheter has three lumens with distal openings angularly spaced apart and staggered axially with respect to one another. In another variation, the catheter has two lumens exiting distally and one centrally positioned lumen exiting proximally. A third variation is a catheter with a single distal opening and two proximal openings. The staggered lumen openings along the axial length of the catheter may decrease recirculation while maximizing flow rates.

摘要： A catheter assembly for use in extracorporeal treatment of a body fluid comprises a catheter body having a plurality of lumens extending therein. The catheter body has an aspiration port in communication with a first lumen for transporting fluid withdrawn from a body vessel to a treatment instrument, such as a dialyzer, and an infusion port in communication with a second lumen for return of treated fluid to the vessel. The catheter body includes a wing-like flap portion extending radially from the catheter body and defining the aspiration port. The flap portion is configured and arranged to space the aspiration port from a wall of the body vessel.

摘要： The present invention provides a catheter for the delivery of fluid medication across an anatomical region. In accordance with some embodiments, the catheter includes a tube having a plurality of exit holes in a side wall of the tube and an elongated member positioned within the tube. The exit holes combine to form a flow-restricting orifice of the catheter. Advantageously, fluid within the catheter flows through all of the exit holes, resulting in uniform distribution of fluid within an anatomical region.

The catheter includes a tubular body having proximal and distal ends, and inner and outer surfaces, and at least one valve formed near the distal end of the tubular body. The valve includes a deformation portion that defines a slit that is openable and closable. The openable/closable slit communicates from the inner surface to the outer surface of the tubular body, wherein the distance between the inner surface and the outer surface of the tubular body progressively becomes thinner approaching the openable/closable slit within the deformation portion.

The outer sheath sized to traverse a vasculature of the patient. The proximal opening is configured to receive the distal end of the inner sheath. The inner lumen is sized to receive the inner sheath and to contain the implantable medical device. The kit further includes a mating coupling module that connects to the first coupling module such that the inner sheath is axially aligned with the outer sheath. The inner sheath is slidable within the outer sheath while the first coupling module is connected to the mating coupling module.

摘要： A septum is disclosed that can be utilized in a catheter assembly to selectively seal an opening in the catheter assembly. The septum has a tube portion and a plug portion. The plug portion has a slit extending through it. The septum can transition from a non-collapsed state to a collapsed state. When the septum is in a non-collapsed state, the plug portion is offset from the tube portion such that some of the length of the slit extends outward from the distal end of the tube portion. When the septum transitions to the collapsed state, the plug portion is moved inward into the internal cavity such that some of the length of the slit may or may not extend outward from the distal end of the tube portion.
