摘要： The present invention provides a polymer sheet for an inner liner and a method for producing a pneumatic tire, which do not cause an air-in phenomenon between an inner liner and an insulation rubber or a carcass rubber in the vulcanization step, and also can prevent adhesion between the inner liner and a bladder. The method for producing a polymer sheet for an inner liner includes the steps of preparing an unvulcanized polymer sheet made of a polymer mixture containing 99 to 60% by mass of a styrene-isobutylene-styrene triblock copolymer, and 1 to 40% by mass of a polyamide-based polymer containing polyamide in the molecular chain and having a Shore D hardness of 70 or less, and at least one of the steps of coating one surface of the unvulcanized polymer sheet with a water-soluble paint 2 to 5 times, and coating with a mold-releasing rubber in a thickness of 0.001 mm to 0.1 mm.f.

摘要： A method of preparing a ply of composite material by applying an adhesive to a textile material comprising greige cords, so as to achieve an acceptable bond between the cords an elastomeric matrix, while not significantly altering the properties of the cords, is provided. The textile material comprises warp cords and weft cords; the weft cords are used to convey the warp cords through a heat setting oven without applying substantial tension to the warp cords, so as to not change their stress-strain properties. In the illustrated embodiment, the warp cords are aramid cords having a linear density of 500 to 3600 Denier and a twist multiplier of 5 to 8. The cords can be used in a crown reinforcing spirally wound overlay structure of a tire.

摘要： This invention is directed to treating the surfaces of rubber-reinforcing materials with a gas plasma of O.sub.2 and CF.sub.4 to activate the surfaces to make them more receptive to adhesives. Optionally the surfaces of the reinforcing materials may be exposed to a polymerizing gas plasma such as a thio-carbon to coat the surfaces of the reinforcing material with substances that promote adhesion to rubber. The treated surfaces have been shown to adhere directly to rubber when vulcanized in the normal fashion.

摘要： A tire cord fabric is disclosed, comprising a plurality of parallel warp threads and a plurality of weft threads interwoven with said warp threads. The weft threads have before dipping of the fabric a length which is longer than the width of the tire cord fabric by approximately the extent of the crimp or shrinkage occuring during dipping. The ends of the weft threads are returned into the fabric before dipping but during dipping such ends are more or less completely drawn out of the fabric due to the shrinkage or increased crimp so that they are finally positioned at the normally woven rims of the tire cord fabric.
