摘要： The manufacturing of articles relies on the bonding of two or more components to form some forms of the articles, such as a shoe sole bonded with a shoe upper. The bonding may be achieved with an adhesive particulate that is applied to a surface of a substrate. The adhesive particulate is selectively fused to the substrate with a controlled energy source, such as a laser. The selective application of laser energy allows for specific geometric structures of adhesive particulate to be formed on the substrate. The substrate having the fused adhesive particulate is mated with another component allowing the fused adhesive particulate to bond the first substrate and the second component.

The invention further relates to an insulation component obtainable by such a process and a door or wall component for cold storage that is made from that insulation component.

The device can include a dispenser unit configured for dispensing a fluid foam-precursor into a web of film material for making foam-in-bag packaging material, a fluid supply conduit connected to the dispenser unit for delivering the foam-precursor to the dispenser unit, a valve connected to the dispenser outlet and that is actuatable between: an open condition allowing flow of the foam-precursor so as to permit the dispensing of the foam precursor, and a closed condition preventing flow of the-foam precursor so as to prevent the dispensing of the foam precursor. The device can further include a power-loss protection mechanism configured to direct auxiliary power to actuate the valve to the closed condition upon a loss of incoming power.

摘要： Mattresses and methods for processing a flexible foam material for use in a mattress to provide a mattress foam material that has more consistent firmness over time and area. The methods include pre-conditioning the foam pad or mattress by applying a force across a substantial portion of a major surface of the mattress to compress or stretch the height of the foam, the length of the foam, and/or the width of the foam to break or open closed cells. In certain embodiments, the force is applied by repeatedly pressing a platen against the foam pad or placing the foam pad between one or more rollers.
