摘要： Disclosed are compositions and methods for the electrochemical detection of enzymes, such as enzymes that are indicative of disease, disorders, or pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi, or other disorders. These methods can be used in point-of-care diagnostic assays for the detection of disease, disorder, or pathogen (e.g., to identify the strain of pathogen infecting a patient in a healthcare setting). The electrochemical methods described herein can also be used to assess the susceptibility of a pathogen to an antipathogen drug. Also provided are probes suitable for use in conjunction with the methods described herein.

The extraction method of E. longifolia plant to produce the polar organic extract, and the subsequent purification to produce the fraction of polar organic extract containing the quassinoids, coumarins, their glycosides, analogues and derivatives, and uses for manufacturing a preparation for infertility treatment are also provided. The fraction of polar organic extract containing the quassinoids, coumarins, their glycosides, analogues and derivatives is formulated for medical applications via several routes of administration.

摘要： The present invention offers a safe and effective drug for heart diseases and a safe and effective method for treating heart diseases such as ischemic heart disease and cardiac arrhythmia. 摘要： Procainamide and N-acetylprocainamide (NAPA) immunogens, antibodies prepared therefrom, labeled conjugates, synthetic intermediates, and the use of such antibodies and labeled conjugates in immunoassays for determining the respective drugs. The immunogens comprise the drugs coupled at the .alpha.-position of the amide side chain to an immunogenic carrier material. The labeled conjugates and synthetic intermediates similarly are .alpha.-position derivatives of the drugs or precursors thereof. The antibodies and labeled conjugates are particularly useful in homogeneous nonradioisotopic immunoassays for measuring the respective drugs in biological fluids such as serum.

摘要： An improved specific binding assay method and reagent for determining a ligand in a liquid medium employing, as an enzyme-cleavable substrate label, a residue having the formula:G-D-Rwherein G is a glycone, D is a dye indicator moiety, and R is a linking group through which the label residue is covalently bound to a binding component of a conventional binding assay system, such as the ligand, an analog thereof, or a specific binding partner thereof. The monitored characteristic of the label is the release of a detectable product, usually a fluorogen or chromogen, upon enzymatic cleavage of the glycosidic linkage between the glycone and the dye indicator moiety. The assay method may follow a homogeneous or heterogeneous format. The preferred glycone is a .beta.-galactosyl group and the preferred dye indicator moiety is an umbelliferone residue. The improved assay is particularly suited to the determination of haptens, such as drugs, and antigenic proteins and polypeptides, including antibodies, following a homogeneous competitive binding assay format.
