摘要： A magnetic stripe reader apparatus comprises a first casing, a second casing, a magnetic stripe reader unit, and at least a connecting element. The first casing has an opening, a first positioning portion, and an adjustable fixing portion. The second casing has a second positioning portion disposed corresponding to the first positioning portion, and a through hole disposed corresponding to the adjustable fixing portion. The magnetic stripe reader unit is disposed between the first and second casings, and has a magnetic stripe reader head and a fixing element disposed on a side of the magnetic stripe reader head. In assembly, the connecting element passes through the through hole and connects to the adjustable fixing portion to fix the first and second casings. The second positioning portion and the first positioning portions hold the fixing element, and the magnetic stripe reader head is exposed from the opening.

摘要： A card connector is provided for receiving an integrated circuit card. The connector has a connector housing including a metal shell with a slot for receiving the card. A side wall of the shell defines at least a portion of the slot. A spring contact protrudes from the side wall into the slot for engaging an appropriate conductive portion of the integrated circuit card when inserted into the slot. The spring contact includes a proximal bent portion extending angularly from the side wall outwardly beyond the slot. A distal bent portion extends angularly from the proximal bent portion back into the slot for engaging the conductive portion of the inserted circuit card.

The electronic circuit on the connector comprises an arrangement for controlling the insertion of the card in the card reader and its withdrawal therefrom, and the reading frame comprises an additional brush contact or cut-off sensing which is offset in relation to the primary brush contacts in the direction in which the card is inserted, and electrically contacts one of the conductive pads of the smart card whether or not the card has a primary contact.

摘要： A magnetic card is set to an exclusive cardholder and inserted into a passbook printer. The passbook printer can read a magnetic stripe of a passbook and print the passbook or a document. The cardholder is fed by a feed roller or the like. Control device can detect the length of the cardholder by an insertion slot sensor. The control device adjusts the position of a magnetic stripe to the position of a magnetic head by the feed roller and the magnetic stripe is read by the magnetic head. The control device decides whether the read data is the data in the magnetic card or the data in the passbook in accordance with the format of the read data.

A magnetic head is arranged for reading and writing magnetic data when the bankbook is in a magnetic data processing position. Three rows of drive and pinch rollers are arranged to convey the bankbook. The central row is arranged near the magnetic head, and the pinch rollers of the outside rows a removable for regulating the pinching pressure between the respective drive and pinch rollers. The pinching pressure is reduced when the bankbook is substantially within the magnetic data processing position. Also, the magnetic head is movable between a normally retracted position and an operative position when the bankbook is substantially within the magnetic data processing position. Also, a dummy head is provided.

A card transfer mechanism in which a pair of pulleys are arranged along a moving path of the card holder, an endless belt is wound between the pair of pulleys, a proper portion of the belt is coupled with the card holder, and one of the pulleys is coupled with a drive motor which rotates in a single direction.
