    • A digital single lens reflex camera includes a reflector located in a photographic light path to reflect object-carrying light transmitted through a photographic optical system toward a finder optical system. An image pickup device is located at the imaging plane of the photographic optical system. The object-carrying light in the photographic light path is reflected by the reflector in a direction substantially away from an eyepiece optical system of the finder optical system. A reflection light path is formed in the vicinity of the photographic optical system and is provided with a plurality of reflection surfaces to make the light reflected by the reflector in the photographic light path incident on the eyepiece optical system. Furthermore, a relay optical system is located in the reflection light path to relay an image formed on a primary imaging plane, which is optically equivalent to an image pickup surface of the image pickup device, to the eyepiece optical system.

    • The present invention enables to ensure printing the entire desired image. An image data interpreter 21 interprets the header portion of data transmitted by a digital camera to detect the number of dots indicative of height and width of an image to be printed. A printer analyzer 22 detects the size of a print paper actually set in a printer. To perform printing in a print condition set by an output setting unit 23, image data size is adjusted based on the detected image data size and print paper size as well as the set print condition, and the adjusted image data is outputted to a printer engine.

    • Management data for managing an image sensing device can be read from the device even after the device has been mounted. To accomplish this, the management data is recorded in a non-effective imaging zone that surrounds an effective imaging area in the read-out area of the image sensing device. The non-effective imaging zone is a zone from which an output signal is not used in generating a sensed target image. The management data can be sensed from the signal output by the image sensing device. In another aspect, management data for managing an image sensing device can be read from the device even after the device has been mounted on a circuit board. To accomplish this, the management data is recorded on a protective glass, which covers the device, using an ink that reflects infrared radiation. A target image having a uniform pattern is sensed using a light source whose emission includes infrared radiation, and the image obtained by such sensing is displayed on a display. The portion of the obtained target image that is the management data appears darker than other portions. The management data is obtained by reading the darkened portion.
