    • This disclosure relates to a system and method for insulating a mill product during a transporting and storing process. The system includes a platform, an insulated enclosure, and an actuator system. The platform is capable of supporting the insulated enclosure and the mill product. The insulated enclosure includes a first clamshell enclosure member and a second clamshell enclosure member supported on the platform. Each enclosure member has an open position and a closed position. When each enclosure member is in the open position, the mill product supported on the platform within the enclosure may be accessed. When each enclosure member is in the closed position, the mill product is thermally insulated within the enclosure. The actuator system can move the clamshell enclosures between their open and closed positions.

    • Described herein is a skid for transporting and storing pallets. The pallets may be loaded with any cargo but in one example are loaded with drilling mud or its components. The skid comprises a base, and a container on the base defining a plurality of compartments each sized to hold a loaded pallet. The container comprises a floor, interior side walls, and exterior side walls, which together define the compartments. The exterior side walls are situated at the periphery of the skid, and each of the exterior side walls is removable to permit a compartment to be accessed, and a pallet to be easily loaded or unloaded from the periphery of the skid. Pallets may be individually accessed from the outside of the skid, and may be removed from the skid by workers using available equipment, with no need to climb, mount, or enter the skid.

    • Disclosed is a water tank having a power-generating function. The disclosed water tank having a power-generating function comprises: a storage unit, the interior of which has a water storage space, and having an open top and a bottom comprising an outlet portion; and a solar cell module which is mounted on the top of the storage unit, such that an inlet portion is formed to feed water into the storage unit, and which receives solar light and generates electrical energy. Water such as rainwater can be fed into the water tank through the inlet portion formed at the periphery of the solar cell module and stored in the water tank, and water stored in the water tank can be used as needed. The solar cell module is mounted on the top of the water tank, and thus does not occupy space, which prevents the problem of occupying land and reduces general costs related thereto. As described above, the solar cell module, which might otherwise occupy a large amount of space, and a water tank are coupled together, to thereby reduce the costs associated with purchasing land.

The barrier unit comprises a surface having a regular polygonal perimeter with a plurality of substantially parallel sides, each of which terminates in at least one loop integral with the surface. The surface comprises at least one network of high strength fiber with at least about 50 weight percent of the fiber comprising substantially contianuous lengths of fiber aligned in the hoop direction of the loops. The barrier units have utility as constraining bands for loads of articles like logs, and as doors/closures for access openings to the interior of aircraft blast resistant cargo containers. They are also useful as fences and window protectors.
