摘要： A coasting clutch and a gear system with a coasting clutch include mutually facing first and second clutch members. The coasting clutch is arranged to operate in an engaged position, wherein the first and second clutch members are axially in mesh and rotating with the same speed, or overrunning and rotating with different speeds. The coasting clutch includes a coasting mechanism arranged to operate the coasting clutch into a coasting position when the clutch is overrunning. In the coasting position, the first and second clutch members are axially arranged further from each other than in the engaged position.

摘要： Bicycle hub includes a shell rotatably supported relative to a hub axle, a rotor rotatably supported by two rotor bearings, and a freewheel device having two interacting freewheel components: a hub-side freewheel component and a rotor-side freewheel component. The freewheel components each include axial engagement elements and are axially movable relative to one another between a freewheel position and an engaging, driving torque position. The hub-side freewheel component includes a threaded axial body section and is screwed into the hub shell. The hub-side freewheel component has an axial, annular surface on which the axial engagement elements are configured. The rolling members of a hub bearing show a defined accommodation inside the hub-side freewheel component to support the shell relative to the hub axle. The hub-side freewheel component includes a tool contour which couples to an adapted tool for releasing the screw connection of the hub-side freewheel component with the shell.

The clutch has a first coupling state where a pedaling rotational force is transmitted from the sprocket support body to the hub shell in a first rotational direction during pedaling, a first release state where the hub shell is rotatable relative to the sprocket support body in the first rotational direction during coasting, and a second coupling state where a coasting rotational force is transmitted from the hub shell to the sprocket support body in the first rotational direction during coasting.

摘要： A reciprocating action drive is disclosed in which a pair of magnetically sprung over-running clutches, each in overrunning connection with a driven shaft, and attached to a reciprocating lever, are joined via a direction reversing mechanism. In one embodiment, the direction reversing mechanism uses bevel gears, two of which are connected to the outer shells of the overrunning clutches. One or more intermediate bevel gears, mounted orthogonally to the axis of the driven shaft, mesh with the others to form the reversing mechanism. In a further embodiment, the reciprocating action drive is used to power a bicycle using a standard chain ring and chain arrangement and a cadence equalizing 3× epicyclic gear train. In a still further embodiment, sprung limit stops limit the range of motion of the reciprocating levers to 60-degrees, and make stopping at the end of the tread less abrupt.

摘要： A derailleur-based electronic transmission system for an electric bicycle comprises a wheel; a driven sprocket set coupled to the wheel via at least a first one-way clutch, the driven sprocket set comprising two or more concentric sprockets of different effective diameters; a drive chain configured to engage the driven sprocket set; an electronically controllable derailleur configured to move the drive chain among the two or more sprockets; a pedal crank configured to cause rotation of the driven sprocket set by providing a user pedal force to the driven sprocket set through at least a second one-way clutch and the drive chain; a motor configured to cause rotation of the driven sprocket set by providing an electromechanical force to the driven sprocket set through at least a the drive chain; and an electronic controller configured to, responsive to a determination that a shift should occur at a time when neither the pedal crank nor the motor is causing rotation of the driven sprocket: operate the motor to rotate the driven sprocket at a rotational speed less than or equal to a current rotational speed of the wheel; and operate the derailleur to cause the shift to occur while the driven sprocket is being rotated by the motor.

The lock member limits relative rotation between the shaft and the bicycle body in the first direction when the lock member contacts the bicycle body.
