    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key telephone system capable of reducing a call loss rate caused by the mismatch of codec between a transmitter side and a receiver side. SOLUTION: In the key telephone system housing one or more telephone sets, when a telephone set housed in the system returns an incoming call rejection signal for an incoming call to a caller, contents of the incoming call rejection signal are analyzed, and if the telephone set can convert the codec resulting in incoming call rejection because of the mismatch of the codec into the other codec capable of receiving the incoming call, the incoming call rejection signal is not returned to the caller side but the telephone set is re-called using a codec capable of receiving an incoming call from this telephone set, and codec conversion is executed for the subsequent communication of the telephone set which responds to the re-calling. When a telephone set in the own key telephone system transmits a signal, an identifier indicating the kind of codec convertible by the own telephone system is added to a transmission signal in addition to the kind of codec installed in the telephone set and the signal is transmitted, and when a response to the transmission shows the codec not installed in the telephone set, codec conversion is executed for subsequent communication.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous transmission of FAX and to support smooth input of a FAX number. SOLUTION: Each time a push-button of an operating unit 11 is pressed, a numeral number corresponding to the push-button is sent to a collation unit 21, and the collation unit 21 collates an inputted number sequence with a transmission enabled list. In the case that a FAX number forwardly matched with the inputted number sequence can not be detected, a user is warned about absence of the transmission enabled FAX number corresponding to the inputted number sequence. Thus, the user can notice an error prior to inputting all the destination FAX number. Furthermore, in the case that the number of FAX numbers forwardly matched with the inputted number sequence is a little, a FAX machine 1 is notified of all the forwardly matched FAX numbers, and the FAX machine 1 causes the user to select any FAX number. Thus, the user can easily designate a destination of FAX. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily update a list in a wrong transmission doing prevention function in which FAX numbers are collated with the list. SOLUTION: A collation section 14 collates a transmission destination FAX number inputted from a FAX device 2 with FAX numbers registered in a transmission available list, and if the transmission destination FAX number is registered in the transmission available list, a calling section 12 calls the transmission destination FAX number. Thus, wrong transmission of FAX can be prevented. In addition, a registration section 13 extracts FAX numbers from calling and incoming FAX communications and registers them into the transmission available list, so that a FAX number is extracted from FAX communication and registered into the transmission available list for every calling and incoming FAX communication and the list can be easily updated.
