    • A dual carburetor, designed to simplify passage constructions of the main fuel system and the low-speed fuel system and to improve the productivity, production cost, quick response and reliability in fuel supply, includes main fuel passages (14) and low-speed fuel passages (19) extending vertically from a central portion of a fuel chamber (6) to the height of and between two air suction passages (2). Main nozzles (18) are connected to upper end portions of the main fuel passages (14), and the low-speed fuel passages (19) are bent at its upper end in horizontal directions to reach low-speed ports. Air bleed passages (24, 26) for respective fuel passages (14, 19) are formed to extend from near inlets of air suction passages (2) in horizontal directions to communicate with the fuel passages (14, 19), respectively.

    • A carburetor throttle valve actuation assembly for a combustion engine is readily adapted for use as a remote control actuator, a local control throttle actuator, or both together providing an optional choice for the end user. The carburetor has a throttle valve having a shaft journaled to a body for movement about a rotation axis. A slave lever connects rigidly to a distal end of the shaft projecting outward from the body. A connection spaced radially outward from the axis engages the slave lever to a radially projecting swivel member of a local, manually operated, throttle valve actuation assembly. The swivel member rotates in unison with the slave lever about the axis, is spaced axially outward from the shaft and is journaled to a bracket engaged rigidly to the body. Preferably, the connection has a hole in the slave lever. If the remote throttle control actuator is used, a Bowden wire engages to a pin projecting axially outward from the slave lever at the hole. If the local throttle control actuator is used either a cylindrical void carried by the swivel member mates to the pin, or a peg projecting outward from the swivel member and toward the body is inserted into the hole forming the connection that permits axial movement of the slave lever with respect to the swivel member.

    • A carburetor assembly which has a body (12) formed of extruded aluminum and a plastic fuel bowl assembly (14) secured to the body by means of a resilient spring clip (16). A gasket (13) is located between the body and the fuel bowl. The fuel bowl is molded of plastic and includes an integral well (68), and a mixing screw housing as well as a primer housing. A plastic nozzle (18) extends from the well through the venturi insert into a through passage (20) in the body. The venturi insert (22) is made of plastic material and includes molded grooves (28, 30) therein which form passages with the through passage of the body. The nozzle is resiliently urged against the gasket and the body by means of a spring (70) located in the well thereby sealing the nozzle to the body.
