    • PURPOSE:To sufficiently secure a quantity of fuel to be discharged into an engine, by providing a voltage control means for variably controlling a voltage to be applied to a motor for driving a fuel pump according to a battery voltage condition to be detected by a voltage condition detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A voltage condition of a battery 5 is detected by a control unit 11, and when the voltage condition is lower than a predetermined value, the control unit 11 sets a predetermined value Qa=alpha for a suction air quantity Q, and decides the value of the suction air quantity Q, thus controlling opening and closing of a break contact 8b of a relay switch 8. On the other hand, when the voltage condition of the battery 5 is higher than the predetermined value, the control unit 11 sets a predetermined value Qa=beta for the suction air quantity, and decides the value of the suction air quantity Q, thus controlling opening and closing of the break contact 8b of the relay switch 8. Accordingly, even when the voltage condition of the battery is low, a voltage to be applied to a motor 2 for driving a fuel pump 1 may be secured, and thereby a sufficient quantity of fuel to be discharged into an engine may be secured.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an internal combustion engine with light weight and less noise and oscillation and being combustible with a dilute air-fuel mixture by providing a hot spot having a resistor wire type heater at the place where the injected fuel passes in the combustion chamber of a Diesel engine so as to control the surface temperature from the outside. CONSTITUTION:The fuel is injected by an injection pump 4 through an injection valve 1 at the near end of the compression stroke, and hits the hot spot 2 provided at the tip of the injection valve, then is heated by the hot spot 2, and flows into a combustion chamber 3 through a hole 12. A resistor wire type heater is used for the hot spot 2, and the electric power is fed from a power supply 6 through a current control circuit 5. The casing of the hot spot 2 is composed of a hollow cylinder section 11 and a cover section 9, and they are coupled by welding after a heating body 7 is sealed. One end of the cylinder section 11 is opened and has a thread section inside to engage with the injection valve 1 and the other end is closed, and a hole 12 connecting to the combustion chamber 3 is provided on the side wall.
