    • A site grounding and bonding system provides for the grounding of a plurality of facilities at a field site using a ground box through which electrical connections are made between one or more ground devices and a distribution panel electrically connected to the facilities. The grounding devices may include one or more grounding plates and one or more ground rods buried beneath the earth. A bumper pole may be placed adjacent to the ground box and bonded to the grounding devices through the ground box. The system allows for the safe grounding of a number of facilities at a site without the necessity of placing separate grounding rods and connecting conductors for each facility.

    • The invention relates to an earthing switch (1′), in particular for gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear assemblies (15). According to the invention, a compact earthing switch (1′) is provided by a mounting lid (10) of the gas-insulated switchgear assembly (15) having a concave physical volume (100) which extends the gas chamber (9) and by the earthing switch fixed contact (12) being mounted on an inner side (10e) of the mounting lid (10) and being arranged at least partially in the physical volume (100) of the mounting lid (10). Exemplary embodiments relate, inter alia, to: an essentially cylindrical mounting lid (10; 10a-10e); an earthing switch fixed contact (12) having a physical length (L) which is smaller than an axial physical depth (T) of the physical volume (100); and a large diameter (D) of the mounting lid (10) for simplified mounting and maintenance of active parts (7; 7a, 7b) in the switchgear assembly (15). Advantages include: the compact design for the grounding device (1′); the ability of the earthing switch fixed contact (12) to be ready-mounted on the mounting lid (10); and the integration of the earthing switch fixed contact (12), which is integrated in the mounting lid (10), in a combined disconnector/earthing switch (1′).

    • The invention relates to an earthing switch (1″) for encapsulated, gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear assemblies (13). According to invention, an insulated earthing switch (1′) is characterized in that an encapsulation-side earthing switch contact (50, 51; 500), a measuring electrode (52, 520) and an earthing switch housing (3a) are arranged altogether on a single earthing switch mounting side (3b), and in that an encapsulation-side earthing switch contact (50, 51; 500) and the measuring electrode (52, 520) are electrically insulated with respect to the earthing switch housing (3a) and the GIS housing (2). Exemplary embodiments relate to, inter alia: an encapsulation-side earthing switch contact (50, 51; 500) and a measuring electrode (52, 520) being electrically insulated from drive cables (12) and drive rods (11b); an encapsulation-side earthing switch contact (50, 51; 500) in the form of a movable earthing switch contact (50, 51) or an earthing switch fixed contact (500); and an earthing switch housing (3a) being permanently electrically conductively connected to the GIS housing (2) via a combined supporting and measuring flange (40; 41, 42; 400). Advantages, among others, include: the measuring electrode (52, 520) being operable in a simple manner; easy accessibility of the earthing switch (1″) including the drive (11) and the measuring electrode (52, 520) from the mounting side (3b); and, as a result, a compact design of the earthing switch (1′).
