    • The synthetic amorphous silica powder of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises a synthetic amorphous silica powder obtained by applying a spheroidizing treatment to a silica powder, and by subsequently firing it without cleaning; wherein the synthetic amorphous silica powder has: a quotient of 1.93 or less obtained by dividing a BET specific surface area of the powder by a theoretical specific surface area calculated from an average particle diameter D50; a real density of 2.10 g/cm3 or more; an intra-particulate porosity of 0.05 or less; a circularity of 0.50 or more; and a spheroidization ratio of 0.20 or more; and wherein the synthetic amorphous silica powder comprises particles each having a surface carrying fine silica powder particles attached thereto.

    • A source driver is supplied with a mode switch signal specifying an applied inversion driving method from among horizontal one-dot inversion driving, first horizontal n-dot inversion driving in which a number of outputs does not disturb regularity of a polarity pattern of data signals, and second horizontal n-dot inversion driving in which a number of outputs disturbs regularity of a polarity pattern of data signals. The source driver supplies data signals to data lines. The polarity pattern of the data signals depends on a polarity signal and the applied inversion driving method specified by the mode switch signal. The source driver supplies the polarity signal to a next source driver in the case of the horizontal one-dot inversion driving or the first horizontal n-dot inversion driving, and supplies the polarity signal whose polarity is inverted to the next source driver in the case of the second horizontal n-dot inversion driving.

    • In a battery (2) including a battery cell formed in a flattened substantially parallelepiped shape and a terminal contacting section (222) electrically connected to the battery cell, at one end in the longitudinal direction of a face of the battery opposing to the face on which the terminal contacting section (222) is provided, a projecting portion (26) which projects in the longitudinal direction of the face is provided.
