摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form a toner image on a recording material, a fixing unit configured to fix the toner image on the recording material by heat, a cooling air generating unit configured to generate a cooling air, and an air supplying unit configured to supply the cooling air toward the image forming unit. In addition, a primary water absorbing portion is configured to absorb water generated by the cooling air generating unit, and a secondary water absorbing portion is disposed at a position lower than the primary water absorbing portion in a gravitational direction and configured to absorb the water supplied through the primary water absorbing portion. An air blowing unit blows air warmed by the fixing unit toward the primary and secondary water absorbing portions to evaporate the water absorbed in the first and secondary water absorbing portions.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a main assembly, an image forming portion for forming a toner image using an electrophotographic process, an air supply opening for fluid communication between an inside and an outside of the main assembly, and an air supply device for supplying ambient air into the main assembly through the air supply opening. In addition, an exhausting device discharges air from inside of the main assembly, and a mounting portion selectively mounts, to the air supply opening, one of a cooling device for taking the ambient air in and for decreasing a temperature of the air taken in, and a cover for partly blocking the air supply opening and forming an air passage portion. When the cooling device is mounted to the mounting portion, the air supply device supplies the cooled air into the main assembly, and when the cover is mounted to the mounting portion, the air supply device supplies the ambient air directly into the main assembly through the air passage portion of the cover. When the cooling device is not mounted to the mounting portion, a control device continues air supply from the air supply opening irrespective of a detected temperature, and when the cooling device is mounted to the mounting portion, the control device controls on and off of the cooling device on the basis of an output of the detecting device, and on and off supply of air from the air supply opening in interrelation with the cooling device.

A possible range of a second parameter representing a degree of a variation in air-fuel ratio among the cylinders is determined based on the first parameter. A difference between the unchanged first parameter and the forcibly changed first parameter is determined. A first characteristic representing a relation between the second parameter and the difference is determined based on the possible range of the second parameter and the difference. One of the determination value and the first parameter calculated before the forced change is corrected based on inclination of the determined first characteristic.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide an actuator head suspension assembly having an efficient voice coil. In one embodiment, a voice coil is formed in a circular or any other shape than the conventional sectorial shape to increase the efficiency of the voice coil and diminish oscillation and noise of an actuator head suspension assembly. The voice coil shape is selected such that the proportion of an out-of-plane force becomes smaller than that in the conventional sectorial voice coil and the proportion contributing as weight to the oscillation energy also becomes smaller.
