    • A portable radioactive substance monitoring device comprises an elongated cylindrical housing and a base. The housing has a longitudinal axis along a length direction thereof, and contains a hollow section within which are provided: a detector for monitoring radioactive substances; a circuitry connected to the detector for processing detection signals from the detector; and an alarm connected to the circuitry, for sending alarm signals upon detection of the radioactive substances. The housing at a lower end thereof is detachably connected to the base. The device is compact and delicate in structure, and thereby can be carried and used conveniently.

    • A rotor for a permanent magnet brushless motor includes a shaft, a rotor core fixed to the shaft, and magnets embedded in the rotor core. The rotor core defines a plurality of spaced first slots arranged in a circumferential direction thereof, and a plurality of spaced second slots, each second slot being located between two adjacent first slots and each first slot being located between two adjacent second slots. First permanent magnets are received in the first slots and second permanent magnets are received in the second slots. Each second magnet is located between two adjacent first magnets and each first magnet is located between two adjacent second magnets in the circumferential direction, and the first magnets are magnetized in radial directions of the rotor core and the second magnets are magnetized in the circumferential direction.

    • Featured is a method for automatically evaluating acquired MRI data, determining the quality of the acquired images and removing the image data when it is determined that an image is corrupted so the imaged data for the corrupted image is removed from the subsequent tensor fitting. In further embodiments, such determining includes judging the quality of the image data to determine if the image data satisfies a quality threshold criteria and if determined not to be satisfied adjudging the image to be corrupted. Such methods include performing said evaluating, determining and removing in real time and in the case where an image is determined to be corrupted, such methods further includes re-acquiring additional image data corresponding to each of the one or more images removed as being corrupted. Also featured are MRI systems embodying such methods.
