摘要： A high pressure pump for complex injection engines is provided. A body of the high pressure pump includes a first flow path that transports the low pressure fuel flowing in through the low pressure fuel inlet and a low pressure fuel storage chamber that is disposed in a lower portion of the body to store the low pressure fuel transported from the first flow path. A second flow path transports the low pressure fuel stored in the low pressure fuel storage chamber and a flow control valve is disposed over the low pressure fuel storage chamber to discharge the low pressure fuel, transported through the second flow path, to the pressure unit or the damper disposed in an upper portion of the body based on an opening or closing operation. A low pressure fuel outlet discharges the low pressure fuel, transported through the damper, to a low pressure fuel rail.

摘要： A fuel system includes a low pressure fuel system, a high-pressure fuel pump, a common rail, at least one fuel injector, and an engine management system. The engine management system may initiate a recirculating cooling fuel flow through the high-pressure fuel pump for avoiding fuel boiling by either increasing the target pressure of the fuel within the common rail above a threshold level, which triggers opening a high-pressure fuel relief valve, such that fuel supplied by the high-pressure fuel pump is returned to the low pressure fuel system via the high-pressure fuel relief valve, or providing increased internal fuel leakage within the at least one fuel injector, such that fuel supplied by the high-pressure fuel pump is returned to the low pressure fuel system by a return line.

The method for operating a fuel injection system includes performing a desired pressure reduction in the pressure accumulator using at least one fuel injection valve of the fuel injection system. This is achieved by opening a servo valve in the fuel injection valve, which is opened, during a pressure reduction phase, just wide enough that the actual closing element remains closed and as a result no fuel injection process takes place.
