    • A MOC operator structure for a vacuum circuit breaker includes a cam coupled to an operating shaft of the circuit breaker, a follower in engagement with the cam, a first lever coupled with the follower, free-floating spring structure associated with the first lever, a second lever, a linkage structure coupled with the second lever and constructed and arranged to be associated with a breaker-panel interface for moving auxiliary switches, and movable cable structure operatively coupled between the first and second levers. The first lever and spring structure are configured such that when the contacts are closed, movement of the cam via the operating shaft drives the first lever to a maximum position compressing the spring structure, prior to any movement of the cable structure, and wherein force of the spring structure moves the cable structure and thus the second lever, causing movement of the linkage structure.

    • In an air circuit breaker, the present invention provides an air circuit breaker including an interlock apparatus which is capable of controlling translocation accurately by preventing a deformation and a bent of a lead bar and minimizing a tolerance in production by constructing the lead bar as two separated bodies and including a guide means for guiding a movement of the lead bar. In an air circuit breaker comprises a movable breaker body having a power source terminal and a load terminal and connecting or disconnecting a circuit between power source and a load, a cradle electrically and mechanically connected to or separated from the breaker body in accordance with movement of the breaker body and having a connector electrically and mechanically connected to the breaker body, a screw pipe guiding the connection to or separation from the breaker body and a power source terminal and a load terminal respectively connected to the power source and the load, a base frame fixed to the breaker body, a lead screw supported by the base frame so as to be rotatable and movable to a position for being inserted into the screw pipe and a position for being separated from the screw pipe, a interlock apparatus installed on the base frame and for indicating a position of the breaker body such as a disconnected position in which the breaker body is totally separated from the cradle, a testing position for testing the breaker body and a connected position in which the breaker body is connected to the cradle, the interlock apparatus comprising, a first lead bar extended from the base frame toward the front end of the lead screw so as to be parallel with the lead screw and generating a dynamic power for indicating a position of the breaker body by moving in a direction opposite to a forward direction of the lead screw when the lead screw is inserted into the screw pipe, a guide member installed so as to be movable on the lead screw in the base frame, connected to the first lead bar and performing a horizontal linear movement corresponded to the movement of the first lead bar, a second lead bar constructed separately from the first lead bar, connected to the guide member inside the base frame and performing a horizontal linear movement corresponded to the movement of the guide member, a spring installed on the lead screw in the base frame and applying an elastic force in a forward direction of the lead screw, a cam connected to the second lead bar and rotating according to the linear movement of the second lead bar, and a indicating means connected to the cam and for indicating a position of the breaker body.

    • The draw out mechanism includes a crank, screw, collar and cam, which operate such that as the crank rotates, the collar translates along the screw. The movement of the pin disposed in the slot, rotates the cam as viewed about a axis of rotation. As the cam rotates about the axis of rotation, the pin moves within slot causing mobile side plates to move toward the front or back of the draw-out unit. A circuit breaker is connected to side plate and is positioned in CONNECT, DISCONNECT, and TEST positions by motion of the side plate. An indicator provides visual indication of the breaker's position. A locking system locks the draw-out mechanism in the DISCONNECT position.

    • A modified magne-blast vertical racking circuit breaker modified to accept vacuum circuit breakers. The main frame of the magne-blast unit is modified to accept the vacuum breaker operating mechanism and vacuum interrupters, which are connected to the load and line stabs of the magne-blast unit. A mechanism operated cell operator is mounted above the vacuum breaker operating mechanism, and the mechanism is modified to accept an interlock switch which is positioned to engage the switch gear associated with the magne-blast breaker. The unit also includes a surge suppressor mounted on the main frame. The modification method includes the removal of the arc chutes, blowout coils, blowout cores, contact arm assemblies, booster cylinders and main operating crank, and replacing them with the vacuum interrupters; the magne-blast operating mechanism is also replaced by the vacuum interrupter operating mechanism. The surge suppressor is mounted in space previously occupied by the arc chutes such that the modified unit can be received in the magne-blast metal-clad switchgear.
