摘要： A system for a differential trans-impedance amplifier circuit comprising: an amplifier having a pair of input nodes and configured to generate an amplified replica of a differential voltage on said pair of input nodes; a photodiode; a pair of capacitors coupling said photodiode to said pair of input nodes; at least one resistance coupled between said pair of input nodes of said amplifier; and a bias network comprising two photodiode biasing resistances each photodiode biasing resistance coupled in series between said photodiode and a respective DC voltage. A feedback loop for the amplifier may include source followers that are operable to level shift voltages prior to coupling capacitors that couple said photodiode to said amplifier to ensure stable bias conditions for said amplifier. The source followers may include CMOS transistors. The amplifier may be integrated in a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) chip, which may include a CMOS photonics chip.

摘要： A semiconductor device in which variations are controlled is provided. The semiconductor device has a function of converting a digital signal into an analog signal, and includes a digital-analog converter circuit, an amplifier circuit, first to fourth switches, a first output terminal, a second output terminal, and a power source. The amplifier circuit is configured to perform feedback control when the first switch and the fourth switch are on and the second switch and the third switch are off. The amplifier circuit is configured to perform comparison control when the first switch and the fourth switch are off and the second switch and the third switch are on; utilizing this, variations in the digital-analog converter circuit and the amplifier circuit are controlled.

When a chopping signal has a first logical value, a non-inverting instrumentation preamplifier subtracts a second input voltage from a first input voltage and generates a first output voltage by amplifying a subtraction voltage while outputting the second input voltage as a second output voltage. When the chopping signal has a second logical value, the non-inverting instrumentation preamplifier subtracts the first input voltage from the second input voltage and generates the first output voltage by amplifying and then inverting the polarity of a subtraction voltage while outputting the second input voltage as the second output voltage.

In the preamplifier circuit, an offset voltage and/or a noise occurs and/or is mixed. The preamplifier circuit outputs two types of analog amplified differential signals where a phase is inverted only with respect to the offset voltage and/or the noise. The analog-digital converter has an averaging circuit which averages the two types of analog amplified differential signals for each clock cycle of sampling preceding an analog-digital conversion and outputs a digital signal based on the differential signal averaged by the averaging circuit.

In certain configurations, an autozero amplifier includes at least three transconductance stages and an autozero timing control circuit configured to control an autozero sequence of the transconductance stages. The autozero timing control circuit can stagger autozeroing of the transconductance stages, such that a relatively small amount of the amplifier's amplification circuitry is connected to or disconnected from the amplifier's signal path at any given time. For example, in certain configurations, when one of the transconductance stages in autozeroed over a particular time interval, the remaining transconductance stages can operate in parallel to provide amplification during that time interval.
