According to one or more implementations, a user of a first user terminal attempts to establish a call with a second user terminal. Based on determining that the second user terminal and/or a user of the second user terminal is not available to answer the call, a call intent notification is sent to the second user terminal. According to one or more implementations, the call intent notification includes a number that enables the second user terminal to establish a call with the first user terminal.

摘要： A method and a system for establishing a communication session between a first communication device in a main communication network and a second communication device in a local communication network comprising a wireless network, the second communication device being located in the vicinity of a mobile device, the first communication device contacting an external phone number, wherein the external phone number is assigned to a unique identifier of the mobile device. The method comprises (i) the mobile device sending the unique identifier detectable on the wireless network; (ii) providing the unique identifier of the mobile device) and a local communication identifier to a service provider adapter; (iii) determining the location of the mobile device, associating the mobile device to the second communication device in dependence of its location.

In some implementations, a method includes determining a voice call for communication between a sending device initiating the voice call and a receiving device and determining one or more first characteristics of the voice call. The method selects, based on the first characteristics, one of a phone network and a data network to use to route data of the voice call from the sending device to an intermediary server on the data network. The method causes the data of the voice call to be sent to the intermediary server over the selected network. The data of the voice call is sent from the intermediary server to the receiving device on one of the phone network and the data network chosen by the intermediary server based on one or more second characteristics of the call.

摘要： Various embodiments are described herein that relate to computer hardware and programs for facilitating international calls between individuals. More specifically, an international call system can route voice traffic between multiple telephone network endpoints. For example, a client application (also referred to as a “client”) may be accessed by a traveler on a mobile phone. The client can be configured to connect to a network-accessible application server, which can communicate with a call processing system that routes voice traffic from the traveler's mobile phone to the mobile phone of a desired contact (and, in some embodiments, vice versa). The international call system described herein makes use of the local providers in each country traversed by the traveler. Consequently, low-cost calling can be enabled in both directions, while predictable reachability is guaranteed as the traveler moves between different local providers.

The device has a transceiver to wirelessly send and receive communication, a memory, a control system connected to the memory and the transceiver, and at least one speaker to play the plurality of songs. The control system and method receive a command to log into an account before receiving a playlist, receive and display the playlist identifying a plurality of songs in a menu with context sensitive icons representing different functions, receive and display information associated with an artist from a currently playing song of the plurality of songs in the playlist, receive and display information on a related song that is from a genre similar to that of one of the currently playing song, and receive and display advertising. The method provides for the speaker to play the plurality of songs.

摘要： An unitary electronic speaker device and system for rendering a playlist are provided. An assignment of a playlist identifying a plurality of songs is received from a home personal computer. In one embodiment, the unitary electronic speaker device does not have any storage space other than the memory, and uses the hard disk embodied in the home personal computer to supply the songs. The songs are received and rendered at the unitary electronic speaker device in an order defined by the playlist. Any number of the unitary electronic speaker devices may be connected in a network with the home personal computer. In one embodiment a plurality of unitary electronic speaker devices are connected through a LAN using Ethernet.

摘要： The embodiments described herein recite a telephone communication system used for handling information such as messages, typically voice mail messages, and, more particularly, is directed to a system that provides distributed session initiation protocol (SIP) silos. Distributed SIP silos (DSS) is a Communications Application Platform (CAP) feature that maintains the site's call capacity even when a signaling server fails. DSS uses multiple non-redundant signaling servers to provide sip signaling for the same set of media ports. Because there are multiple signaling servers providing signaling for the same set of ports, the failure of one signaling server only terminates the calls it was actively processing and once those calls have been cleaned up, all the available (non-suspended) ports in the configuration are available to the remaining signaling servers.
