摘要： An image forming apparatus receives print data and settings of a print job which are associated with the print data from an external apparatus via an external interface. A printer section forms an image on a sheet fed from a sheet feeder based on the received print data. It is determined whether or not the settings of the print job include a setting of not performing print recovery processing after sheet jam elimination, and in a case where it is determined that the settings of the print job include the setting of not performing print recovery processing after sheet jam elimination, the print job is cancelled in response to occurrence of a sheet jam in the printer section, and a user is notified of information prompting the user to input the print job again.

摘要： A roll-fed printing assembly, a software medium, and a method of controlling a roll-fed printing assembly are disclosed. The method includes: controlling the printing to execute a first print job containing a batch of nested individual jobs; detecting a pause state during the executing of the first print job; stopping the executing of the first print job in response to the detecting of the pause state; determining, for each individual job of the first print job, whether that individual job belongs to either: a first group of individual jobs that have already been printed successfully, or to a second group of individual jobs that have not yet been printed successfully; creating a second print job by automatic re-nesting of the jobs of the second group based on a nesting criterion; and controlling the printing assembly to execute the second print job.

The first reader/writer device executes a wireless read/write operation on a wireless tag and is positioned in a sheet conveying path upstream of the image forming unit. The second reader/writer device executes a wireless read/write operation on a wireless tag and is positioned in the sheet conveying path downstream of the image forming unit. The control unit controls the image forming unit, the first reader/writer device, and the second reader/writer device. The control unit controls the second reader/writer device to perform an operation to detect a defect in a wireless tag that is included in a sheet as the sheet is conveyed along the sheet conveying path past the location of the second reader/writer device.

摘要： In a document feeder, a length of a discharge path from a reading position to a discharge position is longer than a length of a supply path from a feeding position to the reading position. An idling discharge position is disposed, where the distance with the discharge position through the discharge path is shorter than a distance between the feeding position and the reading speed switching position. A control device controls driving of registration rollers, conveyor rollers and discharge rollers simultaneously when a trailing edge of an original reaches the discharge idling position of the discharge path by the discharge rollers while the discharge rollers is stopped. The document feeder efficiently supplies originals sequentially to the reading position, stably reads the image of the original without discharging a previous original during a reading, and aligns and stores the originals in a discharge stacker.
