摘要： An energy storage and regeneration system that converts irregular, non-constant, and variable input power to regular, constant, and controlled output power using hydraulics whereby the irregular input power is used to pump hydraulic fluid into an accumulator array where it is stored pressurized. Energy is released in a controlled fashion using a hydraulic motor operated by the pressurized hydraulic fluid from the accumulator array, in accordance with the specified power demand. One or more power units may be deployed depending on the amount of energy required at the output. Each power unit includes a hydraulic motor and associated floating accumulator whose internal pressure is controlled to maintain a substantially constant pressure differential across its associated motor. The system can be integrated into various energy system sources including renewable energy such as wind, PV or thermal solar, wave, tidal, etc. as well as various types of vehicles such as cars, trucks, motorcycles, trains, boats, etc.

A method of shutting down an engine of a series hydraulic hybrid driveline and of re-starting the engine of a series hydraulic hybrid driveline using energy stored in a hydraulic accumulator assembly is also described.

摘要： A hydraulic system adapted to recover inertial energy is disclosed. The hydraulic system includes a pump, a variable displacement pump/motor having an input/output shaft, an accumulator, and a valve arrangement. The valve arrangement is operable in: a) a first mode where the variable displacement pump/motor is driven by the pump to rotate the input/output shaft and the load; b) a second mode where the variable displacement pump/motor uses inertial energy from a deceleration of the load to charge the accumulator; and c) a third mode where the variable displacement pump/motor is driven by the accumulator to rotate the input/output shaft and the load. The hydraulic system also includes a controller for controlling operation of the pump, the variable displacement pump/motor and the valve arrangement.

摘要： A hydraulic control system HCS for controlling a variable ratio transmission of a power generating system. A hydraulic motor/pump unit 140 is operably connected to a superposition gear, and is connected to a hydraulic circuit that comprises an orifice 28 and/or a relief valve 29 that opens at a predetermined hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic circuit switches between a variable low-speed operating mode and a torque limiting high-speed operating mode. In the torque limiting high-speed operating mode the hydraulic motor/pump unit 140 is driven by the superposition gear and drives hydraulic fluid through the orifice 28 and/or relief valve 29 to provide a passive torque limiting function. In the variable low-speed operating mode the hydraulic motor/pump unit 140 drives the superposition gear and the hydraulic control system provides a desired rotor 101 speed by controlling hydraulic fluid flow rate through the hydraulic motor/pump unit 140.

The hydraulic propulsion system is connected to at least one other traction wheel including a hydraulic motor powered by a hydraulic pump unit. The hybrid propulsion unit further includes a control unit for at least controlling the hybrid propulsion unit, optionally also controlling the mechanical propulsion system. The hydraulic propulsion system further includes a pressure accumulator which is connected to the hydraulic motor in order to maintain a pressure in the hydraulic motor even if the hydraulic pump unit is switched off.
