    • The present invention provides an intake pipe for drinking water taps, including a metal screwed conduit and a plastic inner pipe. The metal screwed conduit has screw threads configured on its periphery, and a through pipe hole inside. The plastic inner pipe is placed in the through pipe hole. On top of the plastic inner pipe, there is an expanded ring to be held tightly against the top end of the metal screwed conduit. The bottom end of the plastic inner pipe extends to the bottom of the metal screwed conduit. An O-ring seal is placed between the metal screwed conduit and the plastic inner pipe. The O-ring seal can be configured between the top end of the metal screwed conduit and the expanded ring of the plastic inner pipe, or between the through pipe hole of the metal screwed conduit and the outside wall of the plastic inner pipe.

    • An improved rotor retainer housing for a rotatable rotor body and a relief sealing mechanism for a gas flow rate regulator. The retainer housing having structural features equivalent to the essential corresponding features of a conventional metal part is formed of molded plastic. A thin metallic layer is provided on the exposed surfaces of the molded plastic part to enhance surface conditions for maintaining an effective seal between the retainer housing and associated parts. The relief sealing mechanism utilizes a separate relief valve and relief valve seal to prevent premature failure of the seal during normal operating pressures. The seal is a metal retaining ring having a polymer O-ring integrally formed within the retaining ring. The O-ring provides sealing surfaces between the relief valve and the gas inlet on the regulator.

    • A marine outboard drive having an outboard drive unit that includes a bevel gear forward, reverse transmission having hydraulically operated clutches. A hydraulic pump for actuating the clutches and for lubricating the transmission is driven off the rear end of the input shaft and control valve means selectively communicates the fluid from the hydraulic pump with the hydraulic clutches. The valve means is a rotary plug type valve but is constructed so as to minimize axial and radial forces acting that would tend to bind its movement. The construction of the outboard drive unit is such that the bevel gear transmission and hydraulically operated clutches can conveniently be inserted through like diameter oppositely facing openings formed in the upper end of the housing assembly of the outboard drive unit.
