摘要： An organic light-emitting display device includes a pixel electrode, an emission layer on the pixel electrode, an opposing electrode covering the emission layer, a plurality of upper layers on the opposing electrode, light-shielding elements on the upper layers, and a color filter layer on the upper layers. The light-shielding elements include first light-shielding layers and second light-shielding layers. The first light-shielding layers include first materials, and the second light-shielding layers include second materials different from the first materials. The second light-shielding layers overlay the first light-shielding layers.

摘要： A manufacturing apparatus of a lighting device, including a vacuum chamber, an exhaust system by which the vacuum chamber is set to a reduced-pressure state, and a transfer chamber from which a substrate is transferred to the vacuum chamber is provided. The vacuum chamber of the manufacturing apparatus includes a plurality of deposition chambers in which a first electrode, a first light-emitting unit including at least a light-emitting layer, an intermediate layer, a second light-emitting unit including at least a light-emitting layer, a second electrode, a sealing film are formed, and a substrate transfer means by which the substrate is sequentially transferred to the deposition chambers.

摘要： Systems and methods for the design and fabrication of OLEDs, including high-performance large-area OLEDs, are provided. Variously described fabrication processes may be used to deposit and pattern bus lines with a smooth profile and a gradual sidewall transition. Such smooth profiles may, for example, reduce the probability of electrical shorting at the bus lines. Accordingly, in certain circumstances, an insulating layer may no longer be considered essential, and may be optionally avoided altogether. In cases where an insulating layer is not used, further enhancements in the emissive area and shelf life of the device may be achieved as well. According to aspects of the invention, bus lines such as those described herein may be deposited, and patterned, using vapor deposition such as vacuum thermal evaporation (VTE) through a shadow mask, and may avoid multiple photolithography steps. Other vapor deposition systems and methods may include, among others, sputter deposition, e-beam evaporation and chemical vapor deposition (CVD). A final profile of the bus line may substantially correspond to the profile as deposited.

摘要： Spectroscopic filter arrays and methods for making spectroscopic filter arrays are provided. The arrays are formed using a dispersion of filter particles having selected moieties attached to the surface of the particles and a microarray having complementary moieties formed in an array on a substrate, such that each filter particle is attached to a selected region of the microarray. The moiety on the substrate may be RNA or DNA or other molecule. The substrate may be a surface of a photodetector array, a transparent plate that may be placed in registration with the photodetector or a stamp used to transfer the filter array to a photodetector array.
