摘要： Biocompatible phase invertible proteinaceous compositions and methods for making and using the same are provided. Phase invertible compositions in accordance with the invention are prepared by combining a liquid proteinaceous substrate and a liquid crosslinking composition, where the liquid crosslinking composition includes a macromolecular crosslinking agent. Also provided are kits for use in preparing the subject compositions. The subject compositions, kits and systems find use in a variety of different applications.

摘要： The invention relates to a polyester resin which is based on at least one fatty acid, with zero oil length (0%) or an oil length of between 0 and 35%, with a weight ratio of oxidizable fatty acids (monoacids), relative to the overall fatty acids, of 0 or greater than 0 and ranging up to 1, and which is based on an acid component comprising, in addition to the fatty acid, from 30% to 85% by weight, relative to the total weight of said resin, of rosin and/or of derivatives thereof bearing at least one carboxylic acid function.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a composition comprising a polycarbonate; a copolymer derived from a copolymerization of a vinyl aromatic monomer and an ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer; an impact modifier that comprises acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate; a first gel-type low gloss additive; where the first gel-type low gloss additive is an epoxy cross-linked styrene acrylonitrile dispersed in polycarbonate; a second gel-type low gloss additive; where the second gel-type low gloss additive is an epoxy cross-linked styrene acrylonitrile dispersed in polystyrene; a first polymethylmethacrylate; and a second polymethylmethacrylate; where the first polymethylmethacrylate and the second polymethylmethacrylate are present in a total amount of 1 to 25 wt %, based on the total weight of the composition; and wherein the first polymethylmethacrylate has a higher weight average molecular weight than the second polymethylmethacrylate.

摘要： An aqueous binder composition is provided that includes a carbohydrate and a crosslinking agent. In exemplary embodiments, the carbohydrate-based binder composition may also include a catalyst, a coupling agent, a process aid, a crosslinking density enhancer, an extender, a moisture resistant agent, a dedusting oil, a colorant, a corrosion inhibitor, a surfactant, a pH adjuster, and combinations thereof. The carbohydrate may be natural in origin and derived from renewable resources. Additionally, the carbohydrate polymer may have a dextrose equivalent (DE) number from 2 to 20. In at least one exemplary embodiment, the carbohydrate is a water-soluble polysaccharide such as dextrin or maltodextrin and the crosslinking agent is citric acid. Advantageously, the carbohydrates have a low viscosity and cure at moderate temperatures. The environmentally friendly, formaldehyde-free binder may be used in the formation of insulation materials and non-woven chopped strand mats. A method of making fibrous insulation products is also provided.
