摘要： A multi-mode multi-band power amplifier (PA) module is described. In an exemplary design, the PA module includes multiple power amplifiers, multiple matching circuits, and a set of switches. Each power amplifier provides power amplification for its input signal when selected. Each matching circuit provides impedance matching and filtering for its power amplifier and provides a respective output signal. The switches configure the power amplifiers to support multiple modes, with each mode being for a particular radio technology. Each power amplifier supports at least two modes. The PA module may further include a driver amplifier and an additional matching circuit. The driver amplifier amplifies an input signal and provides an amplified signal to the power amplifiers. The additional matching circuit combines the outputs of other matching circuits and provides an output signal with higher output power. The driver amplifier and the power amplifiers can support multiple output power levels.

In an exemplary design, an apparatus may include first and second circuits (e.g., power amplifiers) and an output circuit. The first circuit may provide a first single-ended signal and may have a first output impedance. The second circuit may provide a second single-ended signal and may have a second output impedance. The output circuit may include (i) first and second matching circuits that perform output impedance matching and filtering for the first and second circuits, (ii) a combiner (e.g., a summing node) that combines the first and second single-ended signals to obtain a combined single-ended signal, (iii) a third matching circuit that performs impedance matching and filtering for the combined single-ended signal, and (iv) switches to route the single-ended signals to different outputs.

摘要： A method and apparatus for thermal treatment of tissue by irradiating the skin with electromagnetic energy is disclosed. Sources of electromagnetic energy include radio frequency (RF) generators, lasers, and flashlamps. The apparatus includes either a positional sensor or a dosage evaluation sensor, or both types of sensors. These sensors provide feedback to a controller. The controller may control the electromagnetic source parameters, the electromagnetic source activation, and/or the sensor measurement parameters. An additional scanning delivery unit may be operably coupled to the controller or to the sensors to provide a controlled distribution of electromagnetic energy to the target region of the skin. The use of positional measurement sensors and dosage evaluation sensors permits the controller to automatically determine the proper electromagnetic source parameters including, for example, pulse timing and pulse frequency.

Another feature of the heat pipe is the use of more highly heat conductive material for only that part of the wick in the region which contacts the heat source, so that there is superior heat conductivity in that region.

摘要： A harness is provided for transporting an injured, incapacitated or disabled individual. The harness is designed to enable a single user to transport a person on their back, thereby freeing up the hands of the user while evenly distributing the weight of the person being carried. The device comprises panel having a proximal section, a mid-section, and a distal end. The panel includes first and second pairs of interconnecting straps. The first pair of interconnecting straps is located along the vertical plane of the proximal and distal ends of the harness, whereby the distal end of the panel is capable of folding upward and being connected to the straps of the distal end, thereby securing an individual therein. The proximal end also comprises a second pair of securement straps, whereby the second pair of straps wraps horizontally around the individual to further secure them within the harness.
