Since a port 12b and a port 12f are in closed before the spool 14 is pushed- down to a pressure adjusting position, the oil in the oil passage 26 is not discharged, and the line pressure in the oil passage 26 obtains a high value. Therefore, the sharp inflow of oil into a clutch, brake, etc. is permitted.

Then, a throttle valve 10 loses the pressure regulating function, and a line pressure is directly supplied into a port 12b from a port 12c. Therefore, the oil pressure in a throttle pressurized oil passage 20 acts to increase the line pressure, and a regulator valve 32 sets the line pressure in a line pressurized oil passage 22 to the highest state.

And a one-way clutch 20 is placed between this inner race 52 and the outer race 46.
