    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress temperature lowering of a fixing roller with an easy constitution and simple control. SOLUTION: In shown by a solid line in the figure, a fixation control target temperature in the standby state after the start-up is set as 150°C, when a printing command is given, the target temperature is changed to 170°C. Thus, a fixation heater is continuously turned on for a prescribed time (about two seconds in this embodiment) just before the sheet enters a fixation nip. Accordingly, the sheet enters the fixation nip in the state where the temperature of the fixing roller tends to increase, then, good fixation can be obtained even just after the start-up.
