    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary use of a fuel increasing region where fuel cost increases, during acceleration. SOLUTION: When an accelerator pedal opening APO is larger than a preset value APOa and its rate of change VAPO is greater than a preset value VAPOa, a sudden acceleration request is determined (S1, S2).
