    • Provided is a cell chip for exposing to a portion of each of cells microdroplets dispensed with an inkjet printer or the like in a screening test of the effect of a substance on cells by using an apparatus for introducing the substance into cells including: a cell-immobilizing support including a substrate having through-holes penetrating from one side to the other side of the substrate and including cells immobilized in the through-holes so as to block up the through-holes; a liquid phase region present in contact with one side of the support and including a medium of the cells; and a mechanism present so as to face the other side of the support and imparting a microdroplet to a portion of each of the cells exposed in the openings on the other side.

    • A cell culture vessel for culturing adherent cells includes a channel allowing liquid to flow therethrough; a culture surface disposed on a wall of the channel, the culture surface allowing the adherent cells to adhere thereto; an inlet for introducing the liquid into the channel; an outlet for draining the liquid from the channel; a connecting portion communicating with the channel; and a connection receiving portion communicating with the channel. The cell culture vessel is capable of being connected to another cell culture vessel using the connecting portion or the connection receiving portion. When the connecting portion of the cell culture vessel is connected to a connection receiving portion of the other cell culture vessel, the culture surface of the cell culture vessel and a culture surface of the other cell culture vessel form a continuous culture surface.

    • Provided is a timing control device including: a storage unit that stores multiple pieces of timing control information including identification information and expected value data; a first selector that selectively outputs any of the multiple pieces of timing control information; a second selector that selectively outputs any of data items output from data output devices based on the identification information; a reference data generation unit that generates reference data based on expected value data and a data item output from the second selector in synchronization with a switching of the timing control information; a comparator that compares the reference data with the data item output from the second selector and outputs a coincidence signal when the reference data and the data item coincide with each other; and an output control unit that outputs a timing signal according to the coincidence signal.
