摘要： A coating system includes an electrocoat (e-coat) bath having an e-coat fluid with a first amount of dissolved gases, a plurality of ultrasonic transducers mounted on at least two sides of the e-coat bath, a carrier frame and control circuitry. The control circuitry is configured to control a trajectory of a metal part dipped in the e-coat bath using the carrier frame, control the plurality of ultrasonic transducers to direct a plurality of acoustic waves at a defined ultrasonic operating frequency and at a first intensity to cause a plurality of localized pressure drops in the e-coat fluid, the first amount of dissolved gases is reduced or removed as bubbles from the e-coat fluid of the e-coat bath based on the directed plurality of acoustic waves, and increase the first intensity of the directed plurality of acoustic waves over a defined time period to accelerate dispersion of an e-coat pigment.

摘要： The present invention relates to a low-friction member imitating shark skin and a manufacturing method therefor, the low-friction member implementing a structure similar to shark skin and having riblets by stacking, in layers, composite particles formed by attaching spherical particles on the surfaces of plate-shaped particles, and thus the low-friction member has excellent low-friction characteristics. The present invention comprises: a base plate; plate-shaped particles stacked in layers on the surface of the base plate in the form of scales; and a plurality of spherical metal lubricating particles having a size smaller than that of the plate-shaped particles, and coated on the surfaces of the plate-shaped particles, wherein the metal lubricating particles are arranged in the form of a bridge connecting the base plate and the plate-shaped particles, and the plate-shaped particles to each other.

摘要： A Cu core ball and a method of manufacturing such a Cu core ball. Purity of the Cu internal ball is at least 99.9% and not greater than 99.995%. A total contained amount of Pb and/or Bi in impurity contained in the Cu ball is equal to or larger than 1 ppm. Its sphericity is at least 0.95. A solder plating film coated on the Cu ball is of Sn solder or a lead free solder alloy whose primary component is Sn. In the solder plating film, a contained amount of U is not more than 5 ppb and that of Th is not more than 5 ppb. A total alpha dose of the Cu ball and the solder plating film is not more than 0./0200 cph/cm2. An arithmetic average roughness of the Cu core ball is equal to or less than 0.3 μm.

摘要： A method for the electrochemical coating of a substrate uses brush plating. This is to take place with an electrolyte in that particles are dispersed, which are embedded into the developing layer. It is proposed to add the particles to the carrier for the electrolyte by way of a separate conduit system. The electrolyte is added by way of a conduit system. In this way it is achieved that an agglomeration of the particles in the electrolyte can be prevented because only a short time passes between when the particles are fed and the layer is formed. A device for electrochemical coating has two conduit systems provided for this purpose.

The apparatus includes a plating tank adapted to support the cylinder and to contain a plating solution so that the cylinder is at least partially disposed into the plating solution. The apparatus also includes a non-dissolvable anode at least partially disposed within the plating solution. A current source is electrically connected to the non-dissolvable anode and to the cylinder. An ultrasonic system may be provided to introduce wave energy into the plating solution includes at least one transducer element mountable within the tank and a power generator adapted to provide electrical energy to the transducer element. A holding tank having a circulation pump, a mixing system and heating and cooling elements for the plating solution may be provided.

摘要： Certain example embodiments of this invention relate to improved electroplating techniques. More particularly, certain example embodiments of this invention relate to electroplating techniques that incorporate a homogenization unit to help maintain an emulsion within an electrolyte solution (e.g., a nickel electrolyte solution) used in creating a finish (e.g., a satin nickel finish) in an electroplating process. By varying the operational characteristics of the unit (including, for example, pressure, velocity, pore size, ultrasound wave frequency, sonication time, etc.), it becomes possible to control the emulsion particle size distribution so as, for example, increase or decrease the diameter of such particles and thereby resulting in a deposit with a desired surface topography. It will be appreciated that the variations in size will cause variation in surface topography which, in turn, will change the surface appearance.
