    • Disclosed is an offset rotational non-reciprocating-piston internal combustion engine in which an outer ring rotates on a one axis and an inner disk rotates on a second offset axis. Pistons are connected to the outer ring, while cylinders and other devices for operating the engine are mounted within an inner disk that rotates on a second axis that is offset from the axis of the outer ring. The inner disk and outer ring rotate together, such that the pistons create conditions of compression and explosive expansion within the cylinders without vibrating reciprocal piston motion. A unique fuel injection system is also disclosed that provides a variable fuel pressure that is created by centrifugal forces on the fuel. Because of the rotating inner disk and outer ring, advantages are taken of centrifugal force and gravity to distribute fuel, air, oil, high-voltage current, and cooling air in the engine.

    • A rotary device is described for use in a rotary engine, or a compressor, or turbine, the rotary device comprising two rotors disposed adjacent each other and rotatable about substantially parallel axes of rotation. Each of the rotors has protrusions extending therefrom at regular intervals about the circumference of each to define an open portion of a sealable compression chamber between adjacent protrusions. Each protrusion has two side surfaces and a projecting end surface, wherein the meeting point between each side surface and the projecting end surface defines a tip. The two rotors are arranged such that upon contra rotation of the rotors, a protrusion of one of the rotors engages between a pair of protrusions on the other rotor, and the tips of the engaging rotor are in constant sealing contact with the opposing side surfaces of the pair of protrusions for a predetermined period of time. During the predetermined period of time, a sealed chamber is formed and the volume of the chamber is reduced to a predetermined level by the contra rotation.

    • A rotary 2-cycle diesel engine has five circumferentially spaced cylindrical combustion chambers orbiting in one direction for engagement with four spherical pistons mounted for parallel orbit in the opposite direction. The pistons and combustion chambers interact through a 72.degree. arc of the combustion chamber while aspiration, exhaust and cooling are effected by centrifugal movement of the air during the remaining 288.degree. arc. The connecting rods of the pistons are provided with a double bend and are geared for rotation to provide a longer piston stroke. A cam wheel and follower arrangement control the necessary piston orbiting speed fluctuation in relation to the combustion chambers' angular velocity.

    • A rotary engine, especially a rotary diesel engine, utilizing a pair of substantially identical cooperating rotor assemblies associated with a pair of spaced, parallel stationary intake-exhaust gas ports. Each rotor assembly includes a hub portion immediately surrounding a stationary shaft, a plurality of arms extending radially outwardly from the hub portion, a radially extending cylinder formed in each of the arms, a radially extending passageway leading from the stationary shaft to each cylinder, and a radially reciprocal piston disposed in each cylinder. The stationary shafts are so spaced and the rotor assembly so mounted that upon rotation of the rotor assemblies each piston associated with each rotor assembly will engage the hub of the other assembly upon completion of the compression stroke of the piston, and then will engage an arm of the other assembly to impart a rotational force to the arm upon radial movement of the piston during a power stroke, the rotor assemblies rotating in opposite. The casings for the rotor assemblies have an internal surface which affects inward radial movement of each piston after completion of power stroke so that gases from the cylinders are exhausted to the intake-exhaust stationary shaft. Axially spaced radially extending cooling fins may be associated with rotor assembly, and in order to minimize deterioration of the stationary shaft and cylinder passageways, the exhaust port formed in the stationary shaft extends more than 90.degree. and the exhaust stroke takes place over an arc of travel of more than 90.degree. during rotation of the rotor assemblies.
