摘要： An activated, substantially water-soluble poly(ethylene glycol) is provided having of a linear or branched poly(ethylene glycol) backbone and at least one terminus linked to the backbone through a hydrolytically stable linkage, wherein the terminus is branched and has proximal reactive groups. The free reactive groups are capable of reacting with active moieties in a biologically active agent such as a protein or peptide thus forming conjugates between the activated (polyethylene glycol) and the biologically active agent.

摘要： In accordance with the present invention, there are provided methods to improve the performance properties of thermoset polymer resins prepared by the activation of one or more reactive monomer(s) which is(are) initiated by way of a first reaction mechanism at a defined temperature (typically a temperature in the range of 40-200° C.). Exemplary performance properties which are improved by the invention methods include enhanced thermal stability, tensile strength (which is maintained in spite of exposure to elevated temperatures over extended periods of time), adhesive properties (which are substantially maintained in spite of exposure to elevated temperatures over extended periods of time), weight loss (which is minimized in spite of exposure to elevated temperatures over extended periods of time), dielectric strength (which is substantially maintained in spite of exposure to elevated temperatures over extended periods of time), and the like.
