    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission apparatus which allows reliable arrangement and fitting of an axial load bearing to be arranged between a sun gear and a radial-direction enlarged part of an input member.SOLUTION: A power transmission apparatus 1 is provided with a planetary gear mechanism PG which transmits a torque transmitted from an input member I drive-connected to an internal engine by distributing to an output member O drive-connected to a wheel and a rotary electric machine MG1. A sun gear S has a connection part 11 connected to the rotary electric machine MG1 on the axial first direction side, and the input member I has a penetration part 15 which penetrates the inside, in the radial direction, of the sun gear S and a radial direction enlarged part 16 on the axial second direction X2 side relative to the sun gear S. An axial load bearing 68 is arranged between the sun gear S and the radial direction enlarged part 16, and an engagement member 7 is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the input member I and has a part overlapping with the sun gear S in an axial-direction view.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more properly ride over a step and run on the basis of drive operation after riding over the step.SOLUTION: When the step is detected during reverse running by the required torque based on the accelerating operation, a motor is controlled so that an electric vehicle runs at an initial vehicle speed V1 obtained by using the vehicle speed during the reverse running as a detection vehicle speed V or the like (time points t12 to t13), and when completion of riding over the step is detected during controlling thereof, the motor is controlled so that the electric vehicle runs at creep vehicle speed Vcr for a predetermined time period Tcr (time points t13 to t14). As a result, when the step is detected, the electric vehicle can ride over the step at a low vehicle speed such as the initial vehicle speed V1, and compared with that control is shifted to normal control for the reverse running immediately when completion of riding over the step is detected, the running can be restrained from becoming unstable due to output of the torque requirement based on accelerating operation immediately after riding over the step.
