摘要： An anti-rolling control system for an automotive vehicle is provided. This control system comprises shock absorbers each disposed between a vehicle body and a suspension member rotatably supporting a wheel and being variable of damping force within a range from soft to hard damping characteristics, a steering sensor for monitoring a steered angle of a steering wheel, and a rolling motion control unit. The rolling motion control unit is operable to derive steering angular velocity based on the steered angle of the steering wheel to determine a transient status of vehicle rolling motion when the steering angular velocity is greater than a threshold value. When the vehicle is in the transient status of rolling motion, the damping forces of the shock absorbers are modified to suppress the rolling motion.

摘要： An improved support apparatus such as a suspension apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed which has excellent response characteristics, can save power consumption and has excellent vibration-isolating capacity for isolating the transmission of high-frequency vibrations from a support member such as a road wheel to an object such as the body of a vehicle. To these end, in one embodiment, a linear motor is disposed between the object and the support member for telescopically supporting the object under magnetic effects. A position sensor senses the position of the object relative to a reference position. A low-pass filter filters high-frequency components of the output signal of the position sensor above a prescribed upper frequency limit. Based on the output signals of the position sensor and the low-pass filter, the current supply to the linear motor is controlled in such a manner as to offset a change in the output signal of the low-pass filter. In another embodiment, an elastic member is further disposed between the object and the support member in parallel with the linear motor for elastically supporting the object on the support member. A high-pass filter filters low-frequency components of the output signal of the position sensor below a prescribed lower frequency limit. Based on the output signal of the high-pass filter, a correction is calculated for offsetting a change in the operating force of the elastic member. The current supply to the linear motor is controlled based on a change in the output signal of the low-pass filter and the correction thus calculated.

摘要： A control system for stabilizing the rolling of a vehicle, having control elements arranged between vehicle wheel carriers or wheel suspension members and the vehicle body to generate forces approximately in a vertical direction. The control system is activated only when threshold values for the lateral acceleration of the vehicle and for the steering wheel turning angle are exceeded. When the control system is activated, the control elements generate a rolling moment at the vehicle body counteracting the rolling motions caused by driving conditions and at first completely, or for the most part, only at the rear wheel axle. In a transition period, which depends on vehicle parameters, the control system will then change the rolling moment distribution between the front wheel axle and the rear wheel axle to a given fixed rolling moment distribution.

摘要： A shock absorber control system controls vehicle shock absorbers by bringing them selectively into a softer dampening mode or a harder dampening mode in response to operation of a steering wheel of a vehicle. The shock absorbers are changed from the softer to the harder dampening mode only when the vehicle speed is higher than a reference vehicle speed and the steering wheel is turned at an angular velocity greater than a predetermined reference angular velocity. The angular velocity of rotation of the steering wheel is used as a parameter to select one of the softer and harder dampening modes only when the vehicle wheel has been angularly moved beyond a certain reference angle dependent on the vehicle speed. Therefore, no unwanted switching between the softer and harder dampening modes takes place when the steering wheel is angularly moved back and forth through relatively small angles. The harder dampening mode continues for a preset interval of time.

A control signal associated with user-induced input is also accessed. The method compares the measured vehicle speed value with a predetermined vehicle speed threshold value to achieve a speed value threshold approach status, and then compares the set of values to achieve a user-induced input threshold value approach status. The method monitors a state of a valve within the vehicle suspension damper, and determines a control mode for the vehicle suspension damper.
