摘要： A monitoring device or arrangement performs a method (30) of sensing physiological stress in a user based on sensor data from one or more sensors associated with the user. The method comprises: obtaining (31) stress parameter values (SPVs) that represent a physiological stress level in the user and that are generated at a measurement rate based on the sensor data; monitoring (33) the stress parameter values (SPVs) for detection of a switching point, which is detected when the stress parameter values indicate an elevated stress level in the user for a predefined time period; and causing (34) a reduction of the measurement rate upon detection of the switching point.

Embodiments of the device include a plurality of different sweat stimulation sites. The Sweat stimulation sites may include one or more sweat stimulant reservoirs (142, 144, 146, 148) configured to deliver a sweat stimulant to the surface of the skin (12). Embodiments may also include at least one electrode (150, 152, 154, 156, 158) for measuring a sweat property or to iontophoretically deliver the sweat stimulant from the reservoir (142, 144, 146, 148). In embodiments, the sweat stimulant is selected from acetylcholine, carbachol, methacholine, bethanechol, muscarine, pilocarpine, oxotremorine, and combinations thereof.

A physiological parameter can be determined by harmonizing data between two or more different types of non-invasive physiological sensors interrogating the same or proximate measurement sites. Data from one or more first non-invasive sensors can be utilized to identify one or more variables that are useful in one or more calculations associated with data from one or more second non-invasive sensors. Data from one or more first non-invasive sensors can be utilized to calibrate one or more second non-invasive sensors. Non-invasive sensors can include, but are not limited to, an optical coherence tomography (OCT) sensor, a bio-impedance sensor, a tissue dielectric constant sensor, a plethysmograph sensor, or a Raman spectrometer.

The device monitors the physical movement and activity of the carrier and evaluates the risk factors of the physical work environment. Occupational parameters are monitored by air temperature sensor, humidity sensor, light intensity sensor, air quality sensor and human activity is monitored by heart rate sensor, 3-axis accelerator, skin surface temperature sensor and skin conductivity sensor. Preferred embodiments utilize pressure measurements at body locations to determine a diagnostic pressure ulcer value. A controller (22) includes controller circuitry (64). While the electrodes are coupled to a subject's skin, the controller circuitry is configured to execute a stimulation procedure by driving the stimulation circuitry to pass a plurality of stimulating pulses between the pair of electrodes, and to drive the stimulation circuitry to pass one or more reference pulses between the pair of electrodes, the reference pulses being different from each of the stimulating pulses. The controller circuitry receives an impedance between the electrodes that is measured using the reference pulses, and, in response to the impedance measured using the reference pulses, but not in response to any impedance measured using the stimulating pulses, controls the stimulation procedure. 摘要： A sensor is provided for sensing layer removal from a surface. A head has an abrasive portion for contacting the surface and a conducting portion inside the head. This device has a sensor design which provides self-generation of a sensor signal with no power supply to the device head. This simplifies the design of the sensor head, and means it can have a design which is easy to clean with no parts which are easily damaged. In one set of examples, the device is a skin treatment device.
