    • The invention relates to a support device for the gun sight of a military vehicle, incorporating a head to which the gun sight is fastened and a foot which is integral with the vehicle, the head being integral with a column with a vertical axis which is introduced into the foot, the column being made integral with the foot by spring means wherein the spring means are constituted in the form of tongues arranged along at least two parallel planes perpendicular to the vertical axis of the support, each plane incorporating at least three tongues evenly spaced angularly around the column and integral with it by a first end and integral with the foot by their second end, these spring means imparting stiffness to the link between the column and the foot that is less along the vertical axis than along the other directions (X, Y) orthogonal to this vertical axis.

    • An optical aiming device comprises a sight mounted on a support so as to be adapted to perform movements in elevation and azimuth with respect to the support which is in turn movable vertically and rotatable horizontally about a fixed axis. The aiming device is based on the principle of bringing the sight on to the sighting line between the eye and the target instead of the principle used in known optical aiming devices of bringing the eye on to the sighting line between the sight of the aiming device and the target. Thus the operator, in order to aim at a moving target, need not move his body in order to bring his eye on to the sighting line between the sight of the aiming device and the target. He has just to follow the target with his eye and move the sight of the aiming device until it coincides with the sighting line between the eye and the target.

    • A sighting device is adapted for use with firearms and defining a sighting line, an axis of bore of the firearm and the sighting line forming an acute angle. Means adapted to vary said angle, electric means responsive to the value of the angle and defining a variable output in dependence on the value of said angle are provided. Electric control means define a second variable output in dependence on at least one value causing deviations of the point of impact from the target. Computing means receive the two outputs and generate electric output signals upon divergences between the actual value of the angle and the nominal value of the angle with respect to the at least one value causing a deviation and control means receiving said signals.
