摘要： A ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic element assembly and external electrodes. The external electrodes are disposed on the ceramic element assembly. The external electrodes include an underlying electrode layer and a first Cu plating film. The underlying electrode layer is disposed on the ceramic element assembly. The first Cu plating film is disposed on the underlying electrode layer. The underlying electrode layer includes a metal that is diffusible in Cu and a ceramic bonding material. The metal that is diffusible in Cu is diffused in at least a surface layer in the underlying electrode layer side of the first Cu plating film.

摘要： A liquid crystal display (LCD) is provided which is capable of reducing wiring resistance at a routing section of a common wiring and changes in a common voltage to be applied to the common wiring, thus achieving a reduction in “color degradation” and “horizontal stroke” in the LCD and of reducing “luminance irregularity”. The liquid crystal display (LCD) has a first routing section made up of a metal film having very low transmittance of light emitted from a backlight and formed in a manner that a gap between blocks being adjacent along one side of a display area is almost filled in and a second routing section made up of the above metal film and formed in a manner that a region surrounded by an outer side portion of a block mounted outside the display area and by straight lines being four sides of the display area which have extended toward end portions of a glass substrate is almost filled in.

This active matrix liquid crystal display includes, around the image region of the thin film transistor array, a scanning line reference potential line, surge protecting circuits for connecting the scanning lines with the scanning line reference potential line, a signal line reference potential line, and surge protecting circuits for connecting the signal lines with the signal line reference potential line. When a surge voltage is applied to the scanning line or signal line, electric charge is let go to the scanning line reference potential line or signal line reference potential line, respectively. Arbitrary reference potentials can be applied to the scanning line reference potential line and signal line reference potential line. The surge protecting circuit includes two two-terminal thin film transistors.

In the cell, a liquid crystal is sandwiched between a resistance layer mounted on a substrate and another substrate-mounted layer which may be either resistive or conductive. Suitable means mask at least the end portions of the display of the liquid crystal cell. In operation, voltages corresponding to photographic conditions are applied to the layers to produce analog data indicative of photographic conditions.

摘要： The present invention relates to a power source used in a camera having a circuit for detecting a focused condition determining the distance at which the focused condition is established. The invention is particularly suited, for preventing careless opening of the power source by providing an operating member on the lens barrel or a light or temperature sensing element either in the lens barrel or in the view finder respectively. In this manner the power supply switch is functionally engaged in the operating member or operates in response to the output of either the light or temperature sensing element so as to close the current supply circuit.
